Alfa Discs is a new disc golf brand as of this year. Unbeknownst to us, this company was inspired by a spur of the moment detour visit to our store in Logan, UT, while on vacation in the US. Alfa Discs is based out of Norway, and is the first Norwegian disc golf manufacturer. At the moment they’ve produced just the Apollo and two plastics types; Crystal Line and Chrome Line. 

The Apollo is their only disc at the moment. It is a straight flying midrange, designed to hold any line that you need it to hold. If you want it to fly straight, easy. If you need a hyzer line, easy. If you need an anhyzer line, easy.  This midrange truly can do it all with its predictably consistent flight characteristics. Because of its reliability and versatility, the Apollo can be your go-to midrange. 

On top of its versatility, the Apollo is easy to throw. Even with less power this disc will provide a good flight and controllability. Which makes this a good disc to use regardless of the skill level of the player. Whether you’re a beginner or a veteran, the Apollo will fly well for you.

Focus Friday – Particle

Another week has come and gone. The weekend is upon us, happy Friday. For this Focus Friday we will be on MVP’s Particle. You can use the discount code FOCUSAPRTICLE to save 10% on all MVP Particles. Valentine’s day is upon us as well, so I hope the weekend treats you all well.

The MVP Particle is a stable putter that is currently available in Neutron and Neutron Soft. You can use this disc as a putter or as an approach disc. Focus Friday – Gateway Wizard

One of the most popular putt & approach discs that we sell. Focus Friday – D Model S

Welcome to another weekend, hopefully this one goes well for you. This week we will focus on Prodigy’s D Model S. Use the discount code FOCUSDMODELS to get 20% off all D Model S molds.

Making the D Model S Focus Friday promotion better, we added a sweet dragon stamp onto it. The stamp will only be on the Duraflex plastic. These stamped discs will release Friday, January 29, at 12:00 MST.

This distance river has a good amount of stability to it, providing a nice straight trajectory through the air until it has a solid fade at the end of the flight. Because of the stability, it is quite consistent on its flight path. You can purchase this disc in the base plastic or the premium plastic, whichever you prefer.

Focus Friday

Another weekend is upon us, and it is time to announce this week’s Focus Friday. Last week we focused on the puzzles. This week, we’re bringing it back to discs, the Infinite Discs’ Ra. So, over the weekend you can save 20% by using the discount code FOCUSRA.

The Ra is a moderately overstable midrange, looking at the profile you’ll notice it is flat topped and beaded. This will have a very straight flight path in the air with a small to moderate amount of fade at the end. It’s a less overstable version of the Inca. On a tiny anhyzer line it’ll pull out of it. On a big anhyzer line, it will hold it until the end. This is a pretty consistent disc, that has a reliable flight path.

The feel of the Voodoo is pretty typical to putters, a very rounded edge with a deep rim. Also, it has a microbead that isn’t too noticeable. Based on your reviews, this makes a great disc as a throwing putter or as your putter. Driving with it, will lead to a nice straight flight path with a little fade at the end. Or if you want, you could throw it with a nice hyzerflip. This is also a great putter if you want something very straight with little to no fade at the end.
