The Axiom Pixel was the hot seller for 2024. The Pixel was released in 2023 and the first full year of sales was 2024. It is a straight-flying putter that is shapable off the tee and solid option as a putter. The Pixel is the second disc in the Simon Line, giving the putter a lot of exposure. A putt/approach disc took the top spot for the second time, following the MVP Glitch in 2023.

Let’s check out the top sellers for 2025:

The top two molds have been around, and popular, for decades. The Innova Wraith and the Discraft Buzzz have been best sellers since the early 2000’s. In third place is the slightly newer Infinite Discs Emperor. The Emperor is known for being a bomber of a driver, with many open-bag Infinite pros choosing it as their high-speed driver of choice.

The MVP Trail and the legendary driver, the Innova Destroyer were fourth and fifth in popularity. Completing the top ten are the Discraft Zone, Axiom Pixel, Innova Mamba, Gateway Wizard, and the Discraft Luna.

The Pixel went from first place in 2024 to 7th for 2025. 2023’s winner, the MVP Glitch, finished 44th place

Innova was the easy winner of the number of molds in the top 50. They have 14 molds, and are six ahead of both Discraft and Infinite. Innova was started in 1983 by Dave Dunipace. Dave received a patent for the first bevel-edge disc, the forerunner to today’s modern discs. Innova has released dozens of molds over the years, giving players lot of options to choose from.

There were 13 brands that had at least one mold in the top 50. Six companies only had one mold.

Most Popular Disc Types

Last year there were more distance drivers in the top 50 than any other type of disc. This year putt and approach discs take the lead. In the top 10, distance drivers are king. However, expand to the top 50 and putt/approach surpasses any other type.

  • My favorite disc is the Prodigy A4, as weird as that is. It has always had a perfect fit for my hand and is exceptionally versatile/predictable for me.

  • I think the best disc in my bag, for me, is the axiom tempo. I can use it as an approach disc (FH and BH), but I can also use it as a thrower, and it goes just as far as my midranges. I love that disc

  • Lately, for me the best disc in my bag has been the Streamline Trace, specifically in the Plasma plastic. I will say that the stiffness of the Plasma varies a lot, and the softer Plasma is where the money’s at. For my distance, it has the perfect flip-up, slight ride over, and dependable fade at the end.

    Winter needs to end soon.

  • Despite my slow arm, the Wraith is my favorite disc. In lightweight dx I get a long, straight flight out of it. In pro it gives me the same long flight with a dependable fade at the end. In star the fade stars much sooner giving me a long curving shot. In lightweight champion I get a long, straight initial flight, not unlike the others, with a very sudden sharp fade at the end, often with a big skip. This one disc gives me an incredible variety of options depending on the weight and the plastic – I love it!

  • I think the best disc in my bag (and has survived the purge of discs) would be my Innova Star Boss. I’m constantly grabbing that thing. Definitely one I’ll never get rid of.

  • The Teebird3 is the most reliable disc I have. It was one of the first discs I ever bought, and I don’t think there will ever be a time where I don’t bag one.

  • The best disc in my bag is the Zone, specifically the Ringer Top one. It’s just a tick more stable than a regular Zone, and it flies amazingly.

  • I think the best disc in my bag is a zone. Its extremely versatile and is a go to approach disc, and it was great for shaping shots before I had a backhand.
I have a friend who has two different sayings to emphasize this.
“If you’re thinking about throwing a zone or another disc, the right answer is always the zone”
    and
“when in doubt, zone it out”

  • My favorite disc in my bag is the Discraft Luna. I just love how straight it flies and how reliable it is in all kinds of shots. It’s the one I reach for more than anything.

  • I love the BUZZZ

  • I think the best overall disc in my bag is my Dynamic Discs Truth. I can throw it forehand or backhand and it holds a line. It’s very consistent and gives me confidence when I throw it!
