In this quick putting tip, Team Infinite member Drew Gibson gives us advice to help improve our putting accuracy.
By focusing on spreading his fingers out along the bottom of the disc and thumb towards the center of the flight plate, Drew feels that he’s able to get better control of the angle and trajectory of the disc when he putts.
As you can see from this video, for Drew, this gives him a nice clean release and accurate putting stroke. Perhaps this tip can help you improve your putting as well.
For our Focus Friday this week, we are going to spotlight the SCEPTER by Infinite Discs. Originally PDGA approved on April 3rd of 2019, the Scepter is an overstable control driver with a flat top and a 1.9cm rim thickness. It was designed together with manufacturer Innova Champion Discs to provide a Firebird-like disc that always has a flat top. Flat-topped discs are very popular with power throwers or those who primarily drive forehand. The flat top gives forehand throwers a better grip with the thumb on top of the disc and more controlled release. The design has also proven very useful when throwing into headwinds or when throwing high, spike-hyzers that need to drop from above onto the target.
The Scepter can be wielded with strength and confidence on the course. The limited edition first release had a cool, 2-color stamp and the stock stamp came out shortly afterward on C-Blend plastic with a total run of 800 discs. The 2nd run was a special edition in Metal Flake Glow C-Blend, which turned out even flatter on the top and looked great. So far, those were used for tournament support and in a limited edition with a Scorpio Zodiac stamp (originally released in the VIP Club Store).
The C-Blend SCEPTER was picked by professional FPO disc golfer, Nicole “Pickle” Dionisio to be her signature disc, since she is a strong forehand player and loved the feel of the disc. She is a great member of Team Infinite. Her signature edition features a beautifully intricate stamp design by Thought Space Athletics (another of her sponsors).
Here is a 60-second video review of the SCEPTER by Taylor AuBuchon which shows the disc’s overstable flight characteristics. You can also see the limited edition 2-foil stamp in his review.

Round 3 of voting has come to a close and four stamps have come out on top. These four stamps will proceed to the final round. The four stamps will be stamped on a variety of molds across several brands. The stamp that sells the best, wins! The final round typically lasts a month, or can end early if one stamp sells so much that it leaves the others behind.
Let’s take a look at the four stamps that will proceed to the final round:
The Ace
by Silas Pearson
Hypnosis 3
by Aaron Waggoner
The Disc Elemental
by Steve Bayes
Lady Luck
by Justin Lago
The final round will begin when we receive and list all of the discs. This may take up to 2 weeks. Stay tuned for the final round!
While the nation reacts to last nights State of the Union address, we are ready to start gathering data for our 2020 State of Disc Golf Survey. There has been significant change in disc golf during 2019, and your input matters. The results this survey provides are beneficial for sponsors, tournament directors, disc golf companies, and parks departments considering adding disc golf.
This survey takes about 15-30 minutes to complete and will close on February 18th.
Disc golf related prizes of all types will be given to random winners who fill out the survey. Past years prizes have included discs, bags, and portable disc golf baskets. This years prizes will include a disc golf cart.
Please share the survey with your disc golf friends and disc golf social media groups. The results to this survey are valuable to disc golfers everywhere, and everyone’s input matters.
Stamp Wars is currently in the voting stage for Round 3, the semi-finals. Voting ends on Thursday, Feb. 6 at 11:59pm! If you haven’t voted yet, now is your chance! The top four will make it to the stamped round!
It is time once again for our look back at the last week of sales. This weekly chart is generated from the sales figures at Infinite Discs – the purchases made by our customers are the only contributing factor to the statistics. We break the results down by disc model and plastic type so you can see which plastic types are selling the most. Here we go…
Discraft dominated the Top 20 chart this last week with our special edition ESP HEAT jumping to the top spot, followed closely by the Paige Pierce signature putter, which is now officially called the FIERCE at #2. The LUNA and BUZZZ took the #3 and #4 spots with the Z-Line ZONE at #6 and several other discs down the chart, like the Anax, Zeus and Undertaker.
Discmainia hit the chart three times with the D-Line P2 always in strong position, but with the P-Line Soft P2 entering the chart and the Swirly S-Line FD as well. Innova has some regulars on the chart like the Star DESTROYER, WRAITH, ROADRUNNER, and the R-Pro PIG still hanging strong at #12.
Another interesting entry is the #20 spot where an X-Out (Factory 2nd) edition of the SAIL entered the chart. We recently stocked up on some X-Out discs from DGA and the SAIL is always a solid seller as an understable distance driver for players that have slower arm speeds. It’s fun to see the DGA Sail hit the chart as it gets more players trying it out.
Interestingly, that is ONLY 4 brands that showed up in the Top 20 this week! That’s pretty rare! Here is a look at how many times the different brands hit the chart this week:
–> Each week we’ll invite you to leave a prediction for a certain chart position on next week’s TOP TWENTY TUESDAY report. The person to predict that chart position correctly in the comments will win a $10 gift card for the Infinite Discs website.
WINNER – The #8 spot this week was taken by the Star WRAITH which is a regular chart-dweller. Congratulations to RYAN who picked it correctly this week and wins the gift card.
GIFT CARD PREDICTION FOR NEXT WEEK: Leave your comment below to guess the #9 spot for next chart. It will go to the FIRST person to get it right. Good luck!

For the 2nd week in a row, the Paige Pierce Prototype Putter took the #1 spot on the Top 20 Tuesday chart. The 2nd spot was taken by the Star DESTROYER, but the Star WRAITH has been steadily climbing to challenge the Destroyer as Innova’s best-selling driver.
Discmania hit the chart a couple of times with the D-Line P2 taking the 4th spot (always a strong seller) and the DD3 Signature edition climbing back onto the chart as well.
The KC Pro CLASSIC ROC has hit the chart, since Infinite Discs has a couple of custom stamps on the old-school disc which has a small diameter and more of a putter profile than the modern ROC does.

WINNER – The #6 spot this week was taken by the KC Pro Classic Roc which surged on the chart due to its availability with both the “Parachute Penguin” stamp and the Las Vegas Challenge stamp. There were some great guesses for that spot, but nobody picked the Classic Roc. Maybe next week!

The voting has been finalized for the first round of Stamp Wars 2020. Theses are the results with total votes cast for each stamp design. The list on the LEFT are the stamp designs that are moving onto the 2nd Round and the list on the RIGHT are the ones that are not moving on.
The Great Horned Owl got the most votes in the first round. Let’s see how the 2nd round comes together with only half of the surviving submissions. After the 2nd round, the 3rd will feature the final 16 stamp designs for voting.
Once again, the voting will take place on the Infinite Discs Facebook page and on this round you’ll be able to select and vote for your favorite 8 designs. You’ll also be able to see the vote tally during the entire week. The voting for round 2 will continue until next Friday, January 31st, and then we’ll narrow the field again.
