TOP TWENTY TUESDAY – MAY 14TH 2019

Infinite Discs is happy to present another Top 20 Tuesday chart, looking back at the discs that sold the most during the last week. We break these charts down by plastics as well so you can see which plastic types are most popular for each disc. New discs will often spike in the chart as other top sellers shuffle position. The chart is created by sales figures that are pulled from all Infinite Discs sales for the previous week — our customers decide the results with their purchases.

Here we go…

Top Twenty Tuesday for May 14th, 2019

#2 – Star DESTROYER
#3 – Swirly Star THUNDERBIRD
#4 – Neo INSTINCT
#5 – C-Blend SCEPTER

#17 – Metal Flake Glow C-Blend EMPEROR

#20 – S-Line DDX

The KONG by Discraft reclaimed the top spot this week with the Star DESTROYER by Innova climbing back up to a close 2nd after spending a little time in lower positions. The Swirly Star THUNDERBIRD took a strong jump to #3 as the Jeremy Koling signature edition came in stock last week. The Neo INSTINCT by Discmania still holds strong as a new release in the #4 spot with the new SCEPTER by Infinite Discs coming in 5th.

Another new releases that hit the chart is the H4 V2 from Prodigy. The Infinite Discs brand had a generally strong showing with a restock of Swirly S-Blend Pharaoh’s kicking off interest again and the Metal Flake Glow C-Blend Emperors charting with the limited edition stamp as well as in X-Outs for a cheaper way to try the disc.  Here is a chart showing the number of times different brands appeared in the top 20 this week.

WINNER – The #7 spot this week went to the Elite Z Buzzz, which was a little bit strange considering that the ESP Buzzz has had all of the attention lately. But with a restock of Elite Z Buzzz discs at Infintie Discs, that may have fueled the buys. That somewhat random appearance didn’t get any guesses this week. But there were some excellent, close guesses. Keep trying!

The chart this week had a nice battle for the top with the new Neo INSTINCT by Discmania taking the #1 spot for its release week, and the Metal Flake Glow C-Blend EMPEROR by Infinite Discs taking the 2nd spot on its new release week. The KONG feel to 3rd place, but is hanging out regularly around the top, with the new FLARE by Streamline discs takes the #4 spot, still selling well with a new limited edition stamp. The new Fuzion RAIDER by Dynamic Discs is still cruising strong at the #6 spot, beating out the long-time top-dweller, the Star DESTROYER.

Here is a chart showing the number of times that different brands appeared in this week’s top 20:

WINNER – The #6 spot this week went to the FUZION RAIDER. The first comment which guessed Fuzion Raider for the #6 spot was left by Matthew. Congratulations to Matthew, and this isn’t his first win either. Nice work.

#20 – C-Line FD

There was some more shuffling around in the top 20 chart for this week. The KONG reclaimed the #1 spot while the D-Line P2 by Discmania jumped up to 2nd place and the Star Destroyer moved back up to #3. The new Star LION by Innova took the #4 spot and the cool ESP ZONE putt-and-approach disc followed at #5.  The FUZION RAIDER by Dynamic Discs maintained a strong position in the #6 spot.

WINNER – The #5 spot went to the ESP ZONE by Discraft this week. We had a simple and sweet stamp put on some of those and people apparently liked it. It doesn’t look like anybody guessed the ZONE in any type of plastic for #5, so no winner this week. But be sure to guess for next week!

#1 – Neutron ENTROPY
#2 – ESP KONG
#3 – Fuzion RAIDER
#4 – Star ORC
#5 – Cosmic Neutron SL FLARE
#6 – Prism Plasma WRATH
#7 – Discraft Special Blend LUNA
#8 – Star DESTROYER

#11 – Electron Firm ENVY
#12 – DX AVIAR CLASSIC

#17 – Star WRAITH
#18 – XT Mix NOVA
#19 – Electron Soft ENVY
#20 – Metal Flake Glow C-Blend SPHINX

Some of the new releases by MVP / Axiom / Streamline really dominated the chart this last week, with the new MVP ENTROPY rocketing to the #1 spot as an overstable putt-and-approach disc. The ESP KONG remains strong at #2 with the new Fuzion RAIDER by Dynamic Discs taking the #3 spot as a solid long-range bomber for experienced players.  The Prism Plasma WRATH by Axiom also did well along with the Envy in two different plastics, and the Prism Proton INSANITY.

To see how the chart shook up over the last week, here is the chart from the previous week:

And here is a look at how many times different brands appeared on this week’s chart:

WINNER – The #3 spot went to the Fuzion Raider this week, which was first guessed by Michael– though he didn’t say “Fuzion” (remember to guess the plastic type). But we’ll give it to him since there is no other plastic type right now. We’re also giving a win to Barrett who came in very close to Michael on the guess for the Raider, but mentioned Fuzion as the plastic type. Good job guys!

Top Twenty Tuesday for April 16th, 2019

#1 – ESP KONG
#2 – Swirly Star EAGLE
#3 – Discraft Special Blend LUNA
#4 – Star CORVETTE
#5 – D-Line P2
#6 – Star DESTROYER
#7 – Active Baseline GUARDIAN LION
#8 – Signature C-Line Colored Glow FD2
#9 – ESP BUZZZ
#10 – Active Baseline SUN CROW
#11 – Active Baseline FOX SPIRIT
#12 – Jawbreaker Glo ZONE
#13 – Champion Colored Glow FIREBIRD
#14 – Signature ESP BUZZZ
#15 – Z Color Shift BUZZZ
#16 – ESP COMET
#17 – Elite Z RAPTOR
#18 – Active Baseline SPRING OX
#19 – Full Foil Super Color NUKE
#20 – Champion FIREBIRD

The KONG held onto the #1 spot this week and it will be interesting to watch how long it can hold onto that position…probably for as long as the inventory is available for the prototype run. Coming in at the #2 spot was the new signature Gregg Barsby Swirly Star EAGLE which came into stock and sold out quickly at Infinite Discs. The LUNA putter held the #3 spot with the new Star CORVETTE taking #4. The Corvette sales were boosted by a 2-foil limited edition that was released by Innova.

Also note the presence of all but one of the new Active Baseline discs by Discmania. The GUARDIAN LINE was the highest on the chart at #7, with the SUN CROW at #10, FOX SPIRIT at #11, and the SPRING OX at #18.  The remaining disc in that new line is the SEA SERPENT, which would have come in at #21 (just missed the chart by a one disc margin).

It is also interesting to see that the BUZZZ mid-range by Discraft took three spots on this week’s chart, with the Signature ESP edition, regular ESP edition, and the Z Color Shift Ledgestone edition as well. Here is how the brands stacked up this week when counting the number of times their discs appeared on the chart, with only three brands dominating all the spots:

–> Each week we’ll invite you to leave a prediction for a certain chart position on next week’s TOP TWENTY TUESDAY report. The person to predict that chart position correctly in the comments will win a $10 gift card for the Infinite Discs website.

WINNER – The #10 spot this week was the Active Baseline SUN CROW, one of the new base plastic discs by Discmania.  There were some good guesses, including somebody who guessed the Swirly Star Eagle which hadn’t been released yet (very good forward-looking guess!) but nobody seems to have seen those Active Baseline discs coming. Keep in mind that you have a good chance of guessing right if you pick something that you know is coming up soon.

TOP TWENTY TUESDAY – APRIL 9TH 2019

Infinite Discs is happy to present another Top 20 Tuesday chart, looking back at the discs that sold the most during the last week. We break these charts down by plastics as well so you can see which plastic types are most popular for each disc. New discs will often spike in the chart as other top sellers shuffle position. It can be fun to see which discs keep up the pace.

Here we go…

Top Twenty Tuesday for April 9th, 2019

#1 – ESP KONG
#2 – Fuzion RAIDER
#3 – Discraft Special Blend LUNA
#4 – Star DESTROYER
#5 – D-Line P2
#6 – Metal Flake C-Blend RA
#7 – Signature ESP BUZZZ
#8 – Nexus AVIAR DRIVER
#9 – Star CORVETTE
#10 – Jawbreaker Glo ZONE
#11 – Champion Colored Glow FIREBIRD
#12 – ESP COMET
#13 – Elite Z RAPTOR
#14 – Classic GUARD
#15 – C-Blend RA
#16 – Star WRAITH
#17 – ESP BUZZZ
#18 – ESP Glo BUZZZ
#19 – I-Blend X-Out EMPEROR
#20 – DX AVIAR

With a big restock of Discraft KONG discs hitting the Infinite Discs website, that disc rocketed to the top of the chart again, demolishing all of the competition. The 2nd place disc was the new first run Fuzion RAIDER by Dynamic Discs, and in all honesty, the sales of that disc would have been higher if we’d been prepared and had more of them in stock. The anticipation for the Raider was higher than we expected. The LUNA putter took 3rd place, pushing last week’s #1 Destroyer back to #4.

Other honorable mentions go to the Infinite Discs RA which had a stock release and was on sale for the weekend, pushing it to #6 in Metal Flake C-Blend, and to #15 in C-Blend plastic.  The newest putter from Dynamic Discs, the GUARD also stands out at #14.

There were also two Ledgestone special edition discs from Discraft that pushed into the chart this week: the Jawbreaker Glo ZONE jumped in at the #10 spot while the ESP Glo BUZZZ took the #18 spot. The special edition ESP COMET stamp released by Infinite Discs pushed that mid-range to the #12 position, giving Discraft the edge again with number of times on the chart for this week:

–> Each week we’ll invite you to leave a prediction for a certain chart position on next week’s TOP TWENTY TUESDAY report. The person to predict that chart position correctly in the comments will win a $10 gift card for the Infinite Discs website.

WINNER – The #4 spot this week was the Star Destroyer as it was pushed back by the hot-selling Kong, Luna, and new Raider. The first to guess Star Destroyer, according to comment time stamps, was JACK.  A few other guesses came in for Star Destroyer, but Jack was the first, so congratulations!

Top Selling Discs–Q1 of 2019

The weather is warming up, Spring has sprung, and the 2019 disc golf season has begun! It’s April, which means it is time to once again take a look at our top selling discs of the first quarter! As we go through the top sellers, we will see a lot of changes from last quarter. Most of those changes can be traced back to one person…yep, Paul McBeth!

Top 10 Overall

  1. Innova Destroyer
  2. Discraft Buzzz
  3. Discmania P2 Psycho
  4. Innova Firebird
  5. Discraft Luna
  6. Discraft Zone
  7. Discraft Force
  8. Innova Wraith
  9. Infinite Discs Pharaoh
  10. Discmania FD Jackal/Dynamic Discs Judge

If you are still of the belief/delusion that Paul McBeth doesn’t influence sales numbers, hopefully looking at this overall top 10 and comparing it to all of the top 10 charts from last year will be enough to change your mind. Paul’s signature has been printed on over half of these discs at some point in time. While it isn’t unheard of for new releases to crack into the top 10, the Luna debuting at number 5 is very impressive. Also the Discraft Force has never been on this or the distance driver top 10 list. For what it’s worth, if March had been one day longer, we’d probably have another McBeth disc on this top 10 list (the Kong). So overall I think it is safe to say that Discraft has taken full advantage of adding Paul to their team so far. Discraft numbers are way up across the board here at Infinite Discs.

Top Distance Drivers

  1. Innova Destroyer
  2. Innova Firebird
  3. Discraft Force
  4. Innova Wraith
  5. Infinite Discs Pharaoh
  6. Innova Shryke
  7. Discraft Kong
  8. Innova Valkyrie
  9. Innova Boss
  10. Innova Orc

The previously mentioned new Discraft Kong made it all the way to number 7 on the distance driver chart after selling out in just a few hours on its release date. I think it will be interesting to see how the Force and the Kong perform in sales throughout the rest of the year since McBeth mostly used one distance driver with Innova–the Destroyer. Of course, that might be the key–how much McBeth uses either disc. Beyond the new Discraft additions, it is mostly more of the same for the distance driver category this quarter.

Top Control/Fairway Drivers

  1. Discmania FD Jackal
  2. Discraft Undertaker
  3. Innova Teebird
  4. Innova Thunderbird
  5. Innova Leopard3
  6. Axiom Insanity
  7. Innova Leopard
  8. Innova Roadrunner
  9. Innova TeeBird3
  10. Dynamic Discs Escape

Last quarter I mentioned that the Discraft Undertaker surprised me by cracking into the top 10 at the number 9 spot. Well, it made another big jump this quarter finishing as the number 2 fairway driver. The big surprise this quarter is the Axiom Insanity coming in at number 6. The high sales numbers this quarter are primarily because of the special release Axiom did for their new Prism plastic blend. We also see the Innova TeeBird3 cracked back into the top 10.

Top Midrange Discs

  1. Discraft Buzzz
  2. Innova Roc3
  3. Innova Roc
  4. Innova Mako3
  5. Dynamic Discs EMac Truth
  6. Discraft Comet
  7. Discmania MD3
  8. Discraft Buzzz OS
  9. Infinite Discs Anubis
  10. Kastaplast Gote

The top 7 on this chart is pretty business as usual with only a couple of small shifts from last quarter’s top 10. But the last 3 are all new names to this list, or they at least haven’t been on the list for a while (looking at you Discraft Buzzz OS). One of the biggest surprises of this whole article for me is the newly released Kastaplast Gote finishing as the 10th best selling midrange. New releases have a tendency of making surprise appearances in these top charts, but this might be the first Kastaplast mold to crack into a top 10, which may be an indication that the small Swedish disc manufacturer is continuing to grow into the mainstream.

Top Putt and Approach Discs

  1. Discmania P2 Psycho
  2. Discraft Luna
  3. Discraft Zone
  4. Dynamic Discs Judge
  5. Axiom Envy
  6. Innova Aviar
  7. Dynamic Discs Warden
  8. Gateway Wizard
  9. Westside Harp
  10. Dynamid Discs Deputy

There aren’t too many surprises here besides the two Discraft molds making such a big jump up the charts. The Dynamic Discs Deputy made it back into the top 10 after not making it last quarter. Also the Westside Harp is the lowest it has been ever since making the top 10 if I remember right. It will be interesting to see how the Harp performs throughout the year now that Ricky Wysocki is not throwing it and Paul McBeth is throwing a similar mold in the Discraft Zone.

And that’s all we have for this quarter! What will the next 3 months of sales look like? Was there anything that surprised you this quarter? We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

TOP TWENTY TUESDAY – APRIL 2nd 2019

Infinite Discs is happy to present another Top 20 Tuesday chart, looking back at the discs that sold the most during the last week. We break these charts down by plastics as well so you can see which plastic types are most popular for each disc. New discs will often spike in the chart as other top sellers shuffle position. It can be fun to see which discs keep up the pace.

Here we go…

Top Twenty Tuesday for April 2nd, 2019

#1 – Star DESTROYER
#2 – Signature ESP BUZZZ
#3 – Signature C-Line Colored Glow FD2
#4 – Star CORVETTE
#5 – Champion Colored Glow FIREBIRD
#6 – Star WRAITH
#7 – D-Line P2
#8 – ESP BUZZZ
#9 – Prism INSANITY
#10 – C-Blend TOMB
#11 – Elite Z RAPTOR
#12 – DX AVIAR
#13 – Fission PHOTON
#14 – 400 D2 MAX
#15 – VIP GATEKEEPER
#16 – Origio Burst MAIDEN
#17 – Electron Firm ENVY
#18 – Signature Swirly S-Line P2
#19 – GStar DESTROYER
#20 – Champion FIREBIRD

We saw a more “settled” chart during the last week as the Discraft KONG and LUNA vanished completely due to the fact that they completely sold out at Infinite Discs the week before. Now that we’re restocked, you can expect those to be right back in the chart next week.  So, the Star DESTROYER went back to number one, which is a familiar location for that disc. The Signature ESP Buzzz (McBeth edition) held a strong 2nd place with the new Colored Glow FD2 coming in a strong 3rd.

Other popular discs on the chart were the new Star CORVETTE, the Z RAPTOR (still holding on as a new release), the Origion Burst MAIDEN which has been a hot new putter for Westside Discs, and the new GATEKEEPER.  Other regulars came back on the chart, like the Star Wraith, Champion Firebird, etc.

Here is how the brands stacked up this last week in terms of number of times that they appeared on the chart:

–> Each week we’ll invite you to leave a prediction for a certain chart position on next week’s TOP TWENTY TUESDAY report. The person to predict that chart position correctly in the comments will win a $10 gift card for the Infinite Discs website.

WINNER – The #6 spot this week was the Star Wraith, making a strong comeback as a popular seller when it comes to drivers. Nobody picked the Star Wraith to quietly come back to the #6 spot, so nobody takes the gift card this week. But give this coming week a try!
