Brixton Disc Golf Collector Cards

When I was younger, a couple of my buddies and I got into baseball card collecting. There is something exciting about ripping open a fresh pack of trading cards. The suspense, the hope for a rare pull, and the celebration when you finally score one all add to the fun.

Disc golf trading cards capture that same thrill. They combine the joy of collecting with the excitement of chasing cards that feature the players we cheer for. Every pack holds potential. And when it comes to disc golf trading cards, the go-to source is Brixton.

Brixton Beginnings

Brixton began in December 2022 as a small Twitter account run by a couple of disc golf card enthusiasts. At first, they simply posted card photos and eBay auctions. They liked the idea of creating their own card company, but did not know how to make it happen. Then they connected with OTB Discs.

With guidance and support from OTB, or Only The Best Discs, Brixton Disc Golf Cards became a reality. Their very first release exceeded expectations and they have continued producing high quality disc golf cards every year since.

If you have never heard of disc golf trading cards, you are not alone. Brixton still hears from people every day who are surprised the product even exists. Only a handful of sports card companies have ever tried disc golf cards and only a few players have been featured. Brixton is different because they are dedicated entirely to the disc golf card experience.

Their sets and packs highlight all of the touring pros. The Disc Golf Pro Tour has also released its own cards over the years, but Brixton’s entire focus is giving collectors high quality disc golf cards.

Collecting Disc Golf Cards

Collectors enjoy the hobby in different ways. Some try to build a complete set. Others chase every card of their favorite players. Many look for cards they can have signed in person. Whatever the goal, Brixton works hard to make sure the experience is enjoyable.

Collecting also helps the players. Brixton donates half of its profits back to the pros who appear on the cards. That means all 184 players receive a share.

Brixton’s 2025 Base Set

The 2025 base set includes all 184 players. Each card features a player photo with a paint splatter background. You can buy the complete set or build it pack by pack through ten card packs.

Buying the full set comes with a bonus called The Grind set. This is a 25-card subset that showcases the best players in the sport. The only way to get The Grind is to purchase the full base set.

For those who like to build a set pack by pack, there are also individual packs. These 10-card packs include 5 base set cards and five Parallel Universe cards. Parallel cards are alternate versions of the base cards with different backgrounds. Some parallels are common and others are quite rare. The rarest is the Tour de Force card, which shows up only once in about 137 packs.

The Dejavu Set

Beyond the base set, The Grind, and the Parallels, there is also the Dejavu set. Each player receives 25 Dejavu cards to sell or give away directly. That makes them harder to track down and more personal because the only way to get one is through the players.

Picking Up Packs

You can purchase packs individually or in boxes of 20. Each pack includes five base cards and five Parallel cards. One of the Parallel cards will always have a Red background, so the odds of pulling Red are 1:1.

Other Parallels are more challenging to find. Some feature animal skin backgrounds. Some are numbered and show exactly how many were printed, with designs like Shattered Glass. Others are foil designs that stand out even more. The rarest foil, called Magma, appears in only about one out of 70 packs. And of course there is the Tour de Force card, the most difficult of all, at one in 137 packs.

In total, you would need 19 cards to complete a master set for any one player. There is the base set card, 17 Parallel cards (including the Tour de Force, and the Dejavu card. The Tour de Force and Dejavu cards will be the hardest to acquire.

The Wraith is celebrating its 20th birthday this year. It received its PDGA approval in 2005. It is pretty common to hear the Wraith described as a slightly slower Destroyer. Depending on your skill level, you might want to throw a Wraith as your distance driver.

Several Innova pros throw a Wraith, including Garrett Girthie, Philo Brathwaite, and Nate Sexton. The Wraith can also be thrown by amateurs and less skilled players.

In the current state of disc golf, we have lots of choices of plastic types. The type of plastic affects the flight, the feel, and the look of the disc. And it can determine the life expectancy of the disc. In this blog we will look at different plastics, and find the best type for a variety of disc types.

Plastic Characteristics

If you look at any disc on Infinite’s website, you can see which plastic types are available for that mold. Once you click on a plastic type, you’ll see a graph that rates three characteristics of that particular plastic. Those three may make a difference as to whether we choose that plastic or not. Those three characteristics are Durability, Softness, and Grip. Those qualities will help us as we discuss the best plastics for each category that we will explore. Let’s check out the best plastics!

Best Disc Golf Plastic For Drivers

When we reach for our drivers, we are more likely to be going for distance and throwing with more power. That means we will be hitting objects harder, and a more durable plastic would be preferable. However, durability is a double-edge sword when it comes to drivers. An extremely durable plastic will give you a longer life and once its broke in it will keep a consistent flight for a long time. Conversely, it may take a long time to break in, leaving you with a less than desirable flight until it becomes ‘seasoned’. Overall, a durable premium plastic is desirable in a driver. That is why there are so many durable plastics in the top 5.

One exception is DX plastic. DX is a base plastic that beats in quickly. It is inexpensive, making it a great choice for beginners, or people wanting to try new molds. Although it does get seasoned quickly, it can also get too beat in, making it flippy.

The plastic is stiffer and you get less glide from your discs. They also tend to be more overstable due to the air density. Grip is also affected by the cold stiff plastic. And cold temperature disc golfers always run the risk of cracking their discs due to hitting a hard object like a tree or light post. Best Plastics For Beginners

When we are starting out in disc golf, most of us experiment with molds and plastics until we find the discs that work the best for us. A great option to start with is a base plastic. Base plastics have several qualities that make them good for beginners. They have good grip and are softer than some premium discs. They also break in faster than premium discs, giving you a good flight in a shorter amount of time. Plus, they are the least expensive plastic. If you are experimenting with molds, it won’t cost as much to try new ones.

DX – This plastic feels good and breaks in quickly. Being cheaper than premium is a nice bonus.

Best Plastic For Night Disc Golf

Although glow-in-the-dark plastics are common and most brands offer some glow options, not all glow plastics are created equal. Some brands get it right and their plastic glows brightly and holds it for a long time. Others have a glow so weak that it is difficult to tell if it is actually glow plastic. Durable plastics are great for disc golf because there are usually lots of obstacles on a course. Durable plastics can take a hit without losing their flight characteristics. Softer, less durable plastics get dinged up easier, which can alter the flight and stability of a disc. Sometimes dings and dents can alter the flight so much that it may need to be replaced.

Discs made of durable plastic take longer to get ‘seasoned’ and achieve the desired flight. But once they do, you can usually throw the disc for a long time and still have a consistent flight. Although the most durable discs are not indestructible, they can definitely take more abuse than softer discs. Here are some of the most durable plastics.

If you’ve been playing disc golf very long, you have probably noticed the explosion of new brands entering the market. Every month, you can see new brands getting molds approved by the PDGA. Although many of those molds will never see the light of day, many will hit the market. Some of those will take off and become popular. Those disc sales are affecting the older, established brands. That is what we will talk about today.

In this blog, we will look at the popularity of all the major brands. We will take our data from Infinite’s sales for the past several years. That will show us which brands have sold the most, and how those numbers have changed over the past few years.

Comparing the Disc Golf Market of 2018 with 2025

In 2018, the disc golf market was largely dominated by a few key players. Innova stood as the undisputed leader with a commanding 37.17% market share. Discmania was our #2 selling brand with 9.06% and Dynamic Discs slightly behind at 8.96% of brand market share. While Discraft held a significant 7.68%, they were no where near Innova in terms of disc golf brand sales.

Here in 2025, the landscape looks a bit different. Although Innova is still the sales leader, their share of the market has dropped significantly since 2018. Discraft made big gains in 2019 after signing Paul McBeth. With additional pro signings, they have nearly caught Innova as the sales leader.

Other brands, like Doomsday, TSA, or Lonestar didn’t even exist in 2018. They are starting to carve out their own slices of the pie.

The biggest growth of the market share pie is the “Others” category. In 2018, disc golf brands outside of the top twelve represented only 6.5% of disc golf sales. This year, the others account for nearly 19% of our online sales. That is more than any single brand. It is, however, down a little bit from last year’s nearly 21%. It will be interesting to see if that number changes after a full year of sales.

Pandemic Disc Golf Brands

The Covid 19 pandemic lead to unprecedented growth in disc golf and the number of disc golf businesses. We currently sell over 40 different disc golf brands that didn’t even exist in 2018.

Lone Star Disc’s ascension from no Infinite Discs sales in 2020 to 1.6% brand share in 2024 demonstrates the power of local and regional branding. By tapping into the Texan spirit, they have captured the hearts of players in their area and beyond. While Lone Star was new to disc golf during the pandemic, they were not new to mold creation or injection molding. Their ability to produce dozens of molds almost instantly and their acquisition of a large professional and amateur disc golf team have had a big impact on their rapid growth. However, the brand has dropped in sales recently.

Additionally, the meteoric rise of Clash Discs from no US Sales in 2021 to 2.9% of the market share in 2023 illustrates the potential of novel marketing approaches and product differentiation.

Interestingly, Infinite Discs, while not a new entrant during the pandemic, has also seen impressive growth from 3.60% in 2018 to 14.7% of brand market share in 2024 thus far. Because we are InfiniteDiscs.com, the results are undoubtedly skewed from our direct sales, as Infinite Discs fans are more likely to shop from our retail site than anywhere else.

Likewise, Thought Space Athletics is another brand that has rapidly grown and seen sizeable market share added. Over the last six years they have gone from an obscure niche brand to a mainstream competitor. The focus on disc aesthetics and the signing several notable professional players certainly has helped.

Impact of Professional Players Switching Sponsors

Discraft and Paul McBeth

Discraft experienced a significant rise in its brand market share between 2018 and 2020, largely attributed to a strategic move that had a profound impact on the disc golf world. At the heart of this transformative shift was the signing of Paul McBeth, the then-undisputed number one disc golfer in the world. McBeth’s association with Innova, his long-standing sponsor, made his unexpected transition to Discraft a remarkable development. This transition was fueled by the allure of the first multi-million-dollar disc golf contract, shaking the foundations of the sport. McBeth’s immense popularity and prowess on the course created a seismic effect that reverberated across the sport, drawing newfound attention to Discraft. However, Discrafts rapid growth can’t be solely attributed to McBeth’s signing.

At the same time, Discraft also implemented strategic moves by producing more visually appealing discs and adding flight numbers to their stock discs. The timing of Discraft’s acquisition of former professional Ultimate Frisbee player Brodie Smith coincided with the pandemic shutdown of most Ultimate Frisbee events due to pandemic restrictions. This confluence of factors acted as a catalyst for Discraft’s rapid expansion, turning the brand into the second major contender in the disc golf industry.

MVP and Simon Lizotte

The year 2022 witnessed a remarkable surge in the market presence of both MVP and Axiom. A pivotal catalyst for this growth was the strategic sponsorship of Simon Lizotte, widely regarded as one of the most popular disc golfers globally. Renowned not only for his exceptional skills on the course but also for his charismatic personality and substantial YouTube and social media followings, Lizotte’s affiliation with MVP and Axiom injected newfound energy and visibility into the brands.

With an engaging and dynamic presence, Lizotte captivated audiences and fans worldwide, drawing attention to MVP and Axiom discs in the process. His influence extended beyond just his performances on the course, transcending into a vibrant online community. This symbiotic relationship between Simon Lizotte’s appeal and the brands’ products culminated in a notable uptick in their market share. The combination of innovative disc designs, Lizotte’s influencer status, and his ability to connect with disc golf enthusiasts contributed to the meteoric rise of MVP and Axiom, solidifying their positions as influential players in the ever-evolving disc golf landscape.

MVP’s market share surged from 5.76% in 2018 to an impressive 8.20% in 2023. It dipped a little in 2025, but not by much. Axiom, a subsidiary of MVP, has had a more favorable trajectory. Axiom has grown from 3.25% in 2018 to 8.4% in 2025, showcasing their ability to carve out their niche in the market with pretty steady growth.

Discmania, Dynamic Discs and Latitude 64

Discmania’s trajectory is also noteworthy. Although their market share has decreased slightly from 9.1% in 2018 to 3.7% in 2025, their ability to maintain a considerable share amidst a rapidly expanding market signifies a dedicated following. This trend is echoed by brands like Latitude 64 and Dynamic Discs, which have also maintained consistent shares recently, demonstrating their ability to foster brand loyalty.

Growth of New Disc Golf Brands

The data also underscores the growth of niche brands. Thought Space Athletics, a brand focusing on unique disc designs, has grown from 0% in 2018 to 3.6% in 2025. Similarly, Kastaplast, with its distinctive Swedish heritage and unique plastic blends, has grown from 0.8% in 2018 to 2.5% in 2025. These examples highlight the impact of brand identity and differentiation in a crowded market.

Furthermore, the diversification of the market is evident in the proliferation of smaller brands. While individually they may not command substantial market shares, collectively they contribute to the richness of options available to players. Brands like RPM Discs, DGA, Viking Discs, and Finish Line Discs may not dominate the market, but they cater to specific tastes and preferences.

The evolution of disc golf brands is evidence of the broader trend of the sport’s growing popularity. As more players enter the scene and as the sport gains recognition, the market becomes a battleground for innovation, quality, and brand loyalty. The increasing number of brands also speaks to the democratization of the sport, as more players are drawn in and more entrepreneurs seize the opportunity to create and promote their products.

The past six years have seen a shift in the disc golf market. While Innova’s leadership has slightly waned, it still maintains its position as the leading brand. However, the rise of MVP, Axiom, Lone Star Disc, and others indicates that the industry is open to disruption and innovation. The disc golf landscape is no longer characterized by a few giants, but rather by a diverse array of brands catering to different tastes, regions, and playing styles. This evolution bodes well for the continued growth and dynamism of the sport.

Best Distance Drivers 2025

When you want to get the most distance from your drives, you’re usually reaching for your high-speed drivers. Also called distance driver, this type of disc has the widest rim of all types, and the usually require the most skill to maximize the achievable distance. They are the super-athlete of the disc golf world, since they hold distance records, and are used by pros and amateurs alike. Much like our Best Putters, Best Midranges, and Best Fairway Drivers we will look at the sales data to find the best disc golf distance drivers for 2025, and give you some ideas of discs you might want to try.

Like always, we’ll start by showing the Best Distance Drivers for 2024

Best Disc Golf Distance Drivers 2024

Taking the top spot for sales is the Innova Wraith. The Wraith is a speed 11 disc that has a flight similar to some of the other top discs on the list. Taking second is the Infinite Discs Emperor, followed by the most popular driver of all time, the Innova Destroyer.

Top Wraith Plastics

Checking out the top plastic sales for the number one Wraith we find that the most popular Wraith plastic sold is Star plastic. Star plastic outsold second place Gummy Champion by three times! It was responsible for over a third of all Wraith sales last year. The third place most popular plastic is GStar.

Now let’s look at the top sellers for last year.

Top 50 Best Disc Golf Distance Drivers 2025

The MVP Trail isn’t even two years old, but is very popular. The speed-10 mold from MVP has a stable flight that is useful for a wide range of skill levels. It dethroned the Innova Wraith, which dropped to fourth place. Taking second to the Trail is the ever-popular Infinite Discs Emperor. Third on the list is the Innova Destroyer.

The top four molds on the list make up a quarter of all distance driver sales. Innova and Infinite are regular names at the top of the list. It was nice to see MVP break into the elite ranks.

Most Brands In The Top 50

There are ten different brands who have a disc in the top 50 best discs. That is down a couple from last year. Let’s take a look at which brands are represented, and how many molds they have on the list.

The top few brands are not a surprise. Innova and Discraft are some of the oldest disc golf brands, and sponsor some top pros. Their size gives them a lot more marketing opportunities. That helps them manage to stay on top despite all of the newer brands that have hit the market the last decade.

Top Rated Drivers

We’ve looked at the sales data for the top distance drivers, and now we’ll look at the top RATED discs. The infinite discs website allows customers to leave feedback and ratings on discs and accessories, and is a good resource for finding highly rated disc products. Let’s look at some of the distance drivers with the highest ratings. For our ‘Highest Rated’ sections, our system sorts by mold and plastic type.

Highest Rated Distance Drivers

Taking the number one spot with the highest consumer rating for distance drivers is Infinite Discs’ popular high-speed driver, the Emperor. The speed 12 driver has a popular flight that features a little turn with a reliable solid fade. It is available in numerous plastic types. It is also the signature disc of some of the top pros. The I-Blend Emperor has a 4.93 rating out of 5. Nearly perfect!

In second place with a rating of 4.86 is the Star Innova Wraith. Taking third is the Discmania Neo Enigma. The Enigma has a customer rating of 4.73.

Highest Rated Overstable Distance Drivers

Since the Emperor is considered an overstable driver and is the highest rated driver, it is obviously going to be the highest rated overstable driver. In this category, the Emperor took first, second, and tied for third, with three different plastics represented. In second place with 4.91 stars out of five is the Signature Swirly S-Blend. In third place at 4.90 stars is the Signature I-Blend. Also at 4.90 is the Halo Star Destroyer.

Highest Rated Understable Disc Golf Driver

Looking at the other end of the stability spectrum we have the highest rated understable drivers. The Innova Tern took the top two spots. The Star Tern is the highest rated at 4.78. Just a little behind the Star is the Champion Tern, with 4.69 stars. Infinite Discs’ I-Blend Maya came in third with its 4.68 rating.

The next two molds on the understable list, the Axiom Insanity and the Lone Star Disc Mockingbird, are tied at an impressive rating of 4.79.

Highest Rated Stable & Straight Flying Drivers

Checking out distance drivers with a more neutral flight, meaning little turn and a less aggressive fade, we find the stable Infinite Discs Splatter S-Blend Pharaoh leading the pack for the title of Best Stable Distance Driver with a rating of 4.91. The Pharaoh is a high-speed driver that comes in a variety of plastics.

In second place with a rating of 4.89 is the Streamline Neutron SL Trace. In the last podium spot, we find the MVP Neutron Tesla, rated at 4.4 out of five stars.
