Saint Patrick’s Day Lucky Discs

The Luckiest new golf disc - The Innova Corvette

It’s that time of year to get the luck of the Irish. The day to wear green, St. Patricks day is arriving. One of the best things about St. Patrick’s Day for disc golf is that it means disc golf season is upon us. In colder areas where we haven’t been able to get much disc golf over the dark winter months, St. Patrick’s day brings a change of the seasons.

With this Lucky time of year, many of the disc golf manufacturers put up special Saint Patrick’s Day Discs. If you’re a disc golf enthusiast, you probably know that disc golf manufacturers are known for their creative and unique designs. They constantly come up with new and exciting limited edition discs to add a special touch to the game. And now, just in time for the upcoming disc golf season, they have introduced something truly special – Lucky Edition Discs. What makes these discs so special?

Well, as the name suggests, they are designed to bring a little luck to your game. Whether you’re a seasoned player or just starting out, having a lucky disc in your bag can make all the difference. It might give you that extra boost of confidence you need to make that perfect putt or throw that incredible drive.

The latest addition to the Lucky Edition Discs lineup is the Lucky Aviar. Released in honor of Saint Patrick’s Day, these limited edition putters feature a unique hotstamp design – a lucky horseshoe on vibrant green and white Aviars. It’s not only a nod to Irish traditions but also an invitation to embrace good fortune on the disc golf course. But here’s the catch – these stamps are limited edition and are not likely to be produced again. So if you want to get your hands on one of these lucky discs, now’s the time. Maybe you’ll even find the ace pot of gold at the end of your disc golf round today.

This years version has a lucky horse shoe hotstamp on green and white Aviars.

These are limited edition Lucky Disc stamps that will likely never be run again.

Stamp Wars 2019 Final Round

The final round of STAMP WARS 2019 has begun. For the final round, we took the top 5 stamp designs from the voting rounds and had them stamped on popular disc models from Innova, Trilogy, and Discraft! So, the first place winner will be decided through sales. Whichever stamp sells the most in the next month (or reaches such low stock levels that we’re almost out) will be the all-around winner for this year. That will be the stamp that is put on more discs during the 2019 season.

So, if you are a fan of any of these stamps, you can now buy them for your own collection! Here is where to find each one.

Paul McBeth Signature Series + NEW Putter

Paul McBeth Signature Series

The new year is here and Discraft is ready to roll with the new Paul McBeth Signature Series lineup. They have announced four molds that will carry the “First Run” Paul McBeth Signature stamp. These molds are:

Signature ESP Buzzz
Signature Elite Z Zone
Signature Elite Z Force
Signature Titanium Undertaker

These discs will be available to purchase on January 11th. These discs carry the “First Run” text on the stamp, so future stamps will likely not be the same. We know these quantities are limited from Discraft, and we stocked up on as many as we could. We should have a great selection on January 11th. You can find where these specific discs will be listed by clicking on the disc name above.

Paul McBeth Prototype Putter

On January 11th, a new Paul McBeth Prototype Putter will be released.

This is presumably the Luna putter that was PDGA approved on the 28th of December, however we will list it as it’s own mold for now. This new Paul McBeth prototype putter will be made in a special blend of plastic, combining Jawbreaker plastic and a rubber blend. The flight ratings are 3, 4, 0, 2, making it a stable putter. We don’t know much else about the putter until it arrives, but we will keep you updated!

Three New Discraft Molds

Discraft has a lot going on right now, and to add to the fun, they’ve added three new molds to their lineup. These molds are presumably for Paul McBeth, the newest and biggest edition to their time. It has not been confirmed that these molds are McBeth related, but one can only guess.

The Kong

The Kong’s dimensions place it somewhere in the realm of the Destroyer. We’re looking at a speed 12-13 disc that has been rumored to be a new distance driver for McBeth to bag.

The Raptor

The Raptor’s dimensions place it around speed 9. This disc has been a Test Flight mold out on the market. People have compared it to a Flat Top Firebird, or a Felon. This could be another great mold for McBeth to bag.

The Luna

The Luna is a new putter, based on it’s dimensions. It’s close to an Aviar, with some subtle differences. Some people are guessing that this will be Paul McBeth’s new putting putter, while others guess that the “Luna” is his replacement for the “Nova“, and that he will use it for upshots.

Time will tell if any of these predictions are correct, but with the timing at hand, we can only guess that McBeth had some say in these molds’ design.

Four New Discs Approved for Latitude 64 and Dynamic Discs

As we look forward to 2019, we are excited to see what new molds are released! Lucky for us, we can take a sneak peak at four new molds from Latitude 64 and Dynamic Discs. These molds were all PDGA approved in November 2018 and are set to release in 2019. Let’s take a look!

Latitude 64 Recoil

PDGA Approved: Nov. 23, 2018

Latitude 64 Recoil Distance Driver

The Recoil has also been announced on Latitude 64’s website, giving us a little more information on the disc. The Recoil has flight ratings of 12, 4, 0, 3. Latitude 64’s description says that it will be a comfortable disc to throw with reliable fade at the end of the flight.

Latitude 64 Pioneer

PDGA Approved: Nov. 23, 2018

Latitude 64 Pioneer Fairway Driver

The Pioneer is a new fairway/control driver announced by Latitude 64. They give it flight ratings of 9, 3, 0, 4. These are the same flight ratings as the Firebird, one of Innova’s most popular overstable fairway drivers. Latitude says this disc will have a very flat top, making it a perfect choice for sidearm throws. This disc also compares closely to the Felon – Dynamic Disc’s overstable and flat fairway driver. We’re excited to see how it flies!

Dynamic Discs Guard

PDGA Approved on Nov. 4, 2018

The Guard was PDGA approved recently, but not a lot of other information has been announced about it yet. The dimensions of the Guard can help tell a story, though. It has very similar dimensions to the popular Judge. The Guard is just a touch smaller in diameter, a tiny bit taller, and has a slightly skinnier rim. This leads us to believe this will be a new putter, but that is all we know at this time!

Dynamic Discs Vandal

PDGA Approved on Nov. 4, 2018

The Vandal is another disc that has been approved by the PDGA, but not announced by Dynamic Discs. A look at the dimensions tells us at it is likely a new fairway driver around speed 8. This is due to the rim thickness being the same as the Witness and Thief. Again, not much is known at this time, but we’re excited to get this in our hands!

On a more controversial side note: The Vandal is the name of a prototype Legacy Discs mid-range mold. In 2018 some samples of the Legacy Discs Vandal had been floating around, but the disc was never PDGA approved. Unfortunately, to be PDGA approved, two discs can not have the same name, so Dynamic Discs might have beat Legacy to the punch.

The Discmania MD5 MidRange Disc

To wrap up the 2018 year, Discmania released the MD5 mid-range. While it has become common for mid-range discs to have a wider diameter than longer drivers, the trend in 2018 was to release smaller diameter mid-range discs, particularly more overstable discs. The MD5 is one of those smaller diameter, overstable mid-range discs, and it is a very precise one.

Released with a “First Run” stamp as well as with a stock stamp, the MD5 joined the ranks of similar discs released during the 2018 year– perhaps most closely related to the Innova Caiman. It has a profile quite similar to a Caiman, but in flight it does not get quite as much distance.  Rather than a smooth, drawn-out fade, the MD5 has the tendency to drop its edge and fade steeply out of the sky once velocity is lost. That provides a dramatic and precise overstable fade for great accuracy when thrown by experienced players.

It is not a disc that would be friendly to beginners, but is designed for experienced players who are looking for an easily controlled, short-range, overstable mid. Where discs like the Dynamic Discs Justice used to stand out in this category, Discmania has added to their lineup with this strong contender in the MD5.

  • Speed: 5.0
  • Glide: 3.0
  • Turn: 0.0
  • Fade: 4.0

Other End-of-Year Plastic Releases by Discmania

Also to end the 2018 year, Discmania released a couple of runs of their most popular discs in fun, premium plastics. While this is not the first time these discs have been run in these plastics, they are getting a lot of love from Discmania fans. The available of these discs in these plastics is sporadic, so it is good to grab them while they are available. It is hard to know when the next run will come.

Welcome Storm Disc Golf to the Market

Infinite Discs is happy to welcome newcomer, STORM Disc Golf, to the disc brand market!

It all began with someone who not only loved disc golf but wanted to weave that love into the fabric of their family life. This individual wasn’t new to the game; they had traversed the globe, soaking in the sport at major events. With a dream to make their own mark on the disc golf world, they embarked on a journey that started with a 3D printer and some CAD software, shaping ideas into tangible prototypes.
The road wasn’t always clear—there were challenges, as with any good endeavor. But then, a partnership with Gateway Disc Sports became the wind beneath their wings. Storm Disc Golf became more than just an idea; it became a retailer for Gateway’s products.
The company’s soft launch on July 14, 2018, was a milestone. Based in Lubbock, Texas, Storm Disc Golf is more than just a business—it’s a reflection of the community spirit that thrives in this part of the country. It’s about loyalty, compassion, and the enduring friendships that are the hallmarks of disc golf culture.
Storm Disc Golf isn’t just about selling discs; it’s about inviting players into a family—the disc golf family. When someone purchases from Storm, they’re getting a product steeped in the values of its founder, where every disc tells a story of community and camaraderie.
If you find yourself out on a course with a Storm disc in hand, remember, it’s more than a game. You’re part of a larger story, one that’s rooted in the community and the love of the sport.
So give Storm Disc Golf a look. It’s not just another disc golf company; it’s a local endeavor that celebrates what the game is all about—bringing people together, one throw at a time.

Storm has recently introduced their first three discs which include a distance driver, a Mid-Range, and a Putter. Let’s take a quick look at those three discs…

JET STREAM

The first distance driver by Storm Disc Golf is the Jet Stream which features a relatively wide 2.3 cm rim width which places it around a “speed 12” flight rating. When thrown with power, it has a little turn to the understable side, but then finishes with a steady fade. When thrown with less power, it will be a consistently overstable driver. The flight numbers are comparable to the very popular Destroyer by Innova, so it has the potential to be a very popular driver for experienced players.

  • Speed: 12.0
  • Glide: 5.0
  • Turn: -1.0
  • Fade: 3.0

EYE

The Eye refers to the “Eye of the Storm” and is a basic, dependable mid-range disc for all short range drives and approaches on the fairway. It is a wide diameter mid-range, and should feel comfortable for players of all experience levels. It has a slight dome and a low profile rim height, so it slides easily out of the hand. It is design for very straight, precision flight.

  • Speed: 5.0
  • Glide: 5.0
  • Turn: -1.0
  • Fade: 1.0

CRATER

The Crater is a very unique putter to introduce to the market. When it comes to putters, there are a lot of them on the market, and it helps to stand out. The Crater features a thumb track on the top of the disc, which already puts in into a unique category, but the top isn’t just flat– it is a bit of a puddle-top which makes it even more unique. That means that the center of the disc is lower than the rim. It has an overstable finish, so it is more of a “into the wind” putter and short-range approach disc. Or, if you like power putting at the chains, this may be the disc for you.

  • Speed: 3.0
  • Glide: 2.0
  • Turn: 0.0
  • Fade: 3.0

It will be fun to watch and see what Storm Disc Golf comes up with next. Give them a try and let us know what you think!
