Halloween 2017 Special Edition Stamps

Whenever October arrives, we find a bunch of new stamps that have a more seasonal, Halloween flare. Let’s take a look at some of the discs that have hit the shelves at Infinite Discs for the 2017 Halloween season:

FROM INFINITE DISCS

Infinite Discs likes to present some unique, fun stamps during October, and here are some that we’ve put together this year. First of all, there is the PLAGUE DOCTOR stamp, presented on popular disc models from both Innova and Trilogy (Dynamic Discs, Latitude 64, and Westside).

Infinite Discs also made a limited number of Spooky Sabertooth stamped discs only on Discmania models.

And of course, Halloween isn’t complete without something cool from MVP / Axiom / Streamline. This year Infinite Discs made a special run of 3-color Creepy Clown stamped discs on many of the most popular disc models. They are coming very soon.

Also for the fans of the popular Gateway putters, Infinite Discs also put together a super-spooky skull stamp on Wizards, Warlocks, Magic, and Voodoos.

FROM INNOVA

Innova made use of their XXL stamping setup to release some really good-looking pumpkin discs in 2017 including the DX Glow Aviar and the Star RocX3. They also released a really cool bunch of Champion Dyed Beast drivers with stenciled Halloween shapes, like skulls, jack-o-lanterns, ghosts, and cats. The Beasts have already become hard to find.

FROM AXIOM

Axiom has created some anticipation each year for their special Halloween disc, and this year they’ve introduced a great-looking 3-colored Owl stamp that will be a big hit for the collectors, on Plasma Envy discs.

FROM LEGACY

Legacy likes to keep up a tradition of special Halloween stamps, and this year they’ve got a couple, including the Icon Ghost, the Icon Cannon, and the Icon Aftermath. Plus they’ve got Protege Ghosts with a wreath of ghosts stamped on the discs.

FROM DISCRAFT

Discraft released the “Buzzzeyman” for Halloween 2017. You can the limited edition stamp on a Z Glo Buzzz, as well on a Z Glow Supercolor Mini Buzzz.

FROM DISCMANIA

Discmania presented a special stamp this season on their most popular putter. This cool spider stamp is found on a limited edition Glow D-Line P2.

FROM PRODIGY DISCS

Prodigy presents a nice Halloween stamp on their PA-3 putters this year. You can get the stamp on either 400S plastic, or on Prodigy Glow plastic for your night rounds:

FROM MINT DISCS

Let’s finish with a look at the Halloween Alpha from Mint Discs that is hitting the Infinite Discs store very soon:

Top Selling Discs–Q3 of 2017

Well, the weather is getting colder, and I only have a couple tournaments left on my schedule for the 2017 season! October is here, which means it is time for another quarterly report on the top selling discs at Infinite Discs! It has been the busiest it has ever been here at Infinite, and we appreciate the support from our fantastic disc golf family! So thank you all very much! Now, let’s take a look at the best selling discs of Q3 2017!

Top 10 Overall

  1. Innova Destroyer
  2. Discmania P2 Psycho
  3. Innova Aviar
  4. Innova TeeBird3
  5. Innova TeeBird
  6. Innova Thunderbird
  7. Discraft Buzzz
  8. Innova Firebird
  9. Innova Roc3
  10. Dynamic Discs Judge

Last quarter I mentioned that we saw the tour fundraiser discs for the Innova team players have a major influence on our sales numbers, and I think it is safe to say we still see that influence throughout this quarter, though not as strong. The one obvious change we see in this quarter’s top 10 is the addition of the generally low selling Innova TeeBird3. It is safe to say that the Paul McBeth Fundraiser edition Metal Flake TeeBird3 is the sole reason we see this mold on the list. But a few molds were able to fight their way back up the charts in the midst of the fundraiser molds. The Discmania P2 Psycho was able to jump back up to the number 2 slot. Also the Discraft Buzzz jumped up 3 spots to number 7, and the Dynamic Discs Judge got back on the chart at number 10. Both the Buzzz and the Judge were long time top 3 selling discs, so it will be interesting to see if they continue to move back up the charts next quarter. Oh, and yes, The Innova Destroyer still has not been dethroned. Maybe someday…but also maybe not…

Top Distance Drivers

  1. Innova Destroyer
  2. Innova Firebird
  3. Innova Valkyrie
  4. Innova Wraith
  5. Innova Shryke
  6. Innova Beast
  7. Innova Boss
  8. Innova Tern
  9. Dynamic Discs Trespass
  10. Dynamic Discs Sheriff

Well, last quarter Innova impressed by claiming 8 of the top 10 distance drivers, and those same 8 molds impressed again by claiming the top 8 spots. Could we ever see an Innova complete sweep? It is definitely possible. The Innova Mamba came in at number 12 while the Innova Katana finished 14th this quarter. But let’s not forget to give Dynamic Discs some credit in this category. The Dynamic Discs Trespass finishing 9th was one of my biggest surprises this quarter. I don’t remember the last time the Trespass cracked into the top 10. And the new Dynamic Discs Sheriff has been a big hit so far for Trilogy throwers. It will be interesting to see if it can continue to hold in the top 10 as time goes on. Oh, and what mold finished 11th? The Dynamic Discs Defender. So don’t sleep on Dynamic Discs in the Distance Driver category.

Top Control/Fairway Drivers

  1. Innova TeeBird3
  2. Innova Teebird
  3. Innova Thunderbird
  4. Discmania FD Jackal
  5. Innova Leopard
  6. Innova Leopard3
  7. Dynamic Discs Escape
  8. Innova Roadrunner
  9. Latitude 64 River
  10. Innova Sidewinder

While Innova has always had a strong hold on the Distance Driver top 10, it hasn’t always been that way for Fairway Drivers. But this quarter with the Innova Sidewinder making a jump up into the 10 slot and of course the TeeBird3 claiming #1, that might be changing. However, that could all change next quarter with numbers 11-15 all being non Innova molds. But here in the top 10, we mostly see familiar names in familiar places. It is worth noting that the Dynamic Discs Escape jumped up one spot. Similar to the Trespass in the Distance Drivers, this is one of the original Dynamic Discs molds that has been around for a while, so it is interesting to see it climbing up the charts. It is also interesting to see the Latitude 64 molds continue their drop in this category. The Latitude 64 River dropped 4 spots down to number 9, while the Latitude 64 Saint dropped out of the top 10 completely, finishing this quarter as only the 13th best selling fairway.

Top Midrange Discs

  1. Discraft Buzzz
  2. Innova Roc3
  3. Innova Roc
  4. Innova Mako3
  5. Discmania MD3
  6. Dynamic Discs EMac Truth
  7. Discraft Comet
  8. Discmania MD4
  9. Innova Stingray
  10. Dynamic Discs Justice

There was a pretty good shake up in the Midrange category. The Discraft Buzzz reclaimed the top Midrange spot from the Innova Roc3, while the Discraft Comet also made a good jump up the chart to number 7 after finishing 10th last quarter. The Discmania MD3 also made a significant jump from 8 to 5. There are two new names that have never been on this list before. The Discmania MD4 was just released a few weeks ago, and had it been released right at the start of the quarter it would likely have been higher than 8. It might climb up the charts this quarter as well with the newly released Simon Lizotte Glow C-Line MD4. The other new name is the Innova Stingray. This is a classic Innova mold that likely receive a bump in sales from the Des Reading Swirly Star fundraiser edition.

Top Putt and Approach Discs

  1. Discmania P2 Psycho
  2. Innova Aviar
  3. Dynamic Discs Judge
  4. Gateway Wizard
  5. Innova Nova
  6. Latitude 64 Pure
  7. Latitude 64 Dagger
  8. Westside Harp
  9. Dynamic Discs Warden
  10. Innova Aviar3

Over the last two quarters we really haven’t seen a lot of change in the top selling putters. The Discmania P2 Psycho has held on again to be the best selling putter. There are two pretty notable drops down the chart when compared to last quarter. The Innova Aviar3 was 3rd, but dropped all the way down to 10th. I’m not sure if the Aviar3 will be able maintain a spot in the top 10 as the new release hype continues to die down. The Westside Harp dropped to number 8. For the last two quarters it was 5th, and the quarter before that it was 3rd. So it will be interesting to see if this downward trend continues for one of the go to discs for the reigning world champion, Ricky Wysocki. Also, after falling out of the top 10 last quarter, the Dynamic Discs Warden worked its way back in, finishing 9th.

So what can we take away from this quarter’s top selling discs? Well, as was previously mentioned, we see the Innova tour fundraiser edition discs playing a pretty significant role. With that in mind, what is especially interesting to me are the discs that moved up the charts that are not fundraiser or new release molds. For example, the Innova Roadrunner and Sidewinder and the Dynamic Discs Trespass and Escape. It seems clear to me that these are molds that disc golfers have been throwing a lot throughout the 2017 disc golf season. Another interesting fact nugget that we see here is the only two disc companies that have a mold in the top 10 of all 4 categories are Innova and Dynamic Discs.

So what do you think? Any surprises or noteworthy finishes that I failed to mention? Feel free to leave a comment below with your thoughts!

Stamp Wars 2018 – Submit Your Design

***Post Update, December 4, 2017. Voting is now live! To vote for the submitted stamps go to the “Stamp Wars Blog” InfiniteDiscs.com/StampWars

Vote Now

In 2017, Infinite Discs featured a duel between two stamps to see which would win in popularity and sales. The Aztec went up against the Tommy Cat and won. We then featured the Aztec stamp on many discs from several different manufacturers. Now it’s time to move on to the next battle…

STAMP WARS 2018

Infinite Discs is going to manage the battle differently this time. We’re inviting everybody with art skills who would like to submit a design to enter the fray. If you’ve got what it takes to make a stamp design that will both appeal to the disc golf public AND fit within the standard specs for disc stamping (see here and here as examples of those specs), then you’re welcome to enter!

We’re looking for one-color stamp designs, so all artwork should be submitted in black, just to keep it simple. For example, the stamp designs should look something like this:

Basically, you’ll want to make sure that there are not too many thick areas– solid black areas can trap bubbles beneath the foil and flake off. Plus you don’t want lines that are too thin– they too can flake off. You’ll want a relatively even balance of black space and empty space. Take a look at other stamps that you like and see how they have stayed within those specs.

TO SUBMIT A DESIGN…

We have a simple Google Form that you can read and submit when you have a design ready. You can submit up to three different designs, if you feel so inspired. But you’ll have to submit the form with each work of art.

The form is basically a way to declare that you are willingly submitting your original artwork (NOT somebody else’s) to be used in the Infinite Discs Stamp Wars contest. By submitting, you’ll be giving us permission to display your artwork for voting and for advertising the contest. You’ll also be allowing us to use that stamp on discs if you make it to the final four, or win the first place. The prizes for those winners will be the only compensation offered.

WHAT CAN YOU WIN?

Aside from the glory and bragging rights that come with victory, Infinite Discs will award a $100 gift card to each of the four finalists. Plus, the ultimate first place winner will receive an additional $250 gift card. Those gift cards can be used toward any products on the Infinite Discs website. Plus, you’ll be able to see your design flying through the skies on hundreds of discs!

WHAT IS THE DEADLINE?

All artwork submissions must be turned in by the end of November 2017. Then we’ll be able to launch the online voting in December so that the disc golf public and see all of the submitted stamp designs and pick their favorites. That gives you from now through November to polish and submit your designs.

HOW ARE WINNERS CHOSEN?

The initial voting will be online and the general public will basically cast their votes for their favorite stamps. The voting will be tallied at the very end of 2017 and we’ll announce the four finalists who have received the most votes in January, as a kick-off to the 2018 year. Those “final four” designs will ALL be stamped on an equal number of discs in an equal ratio of disc models. Once the discs are in stock, the final round will begin. The stamp that sells the most will decide the first place winner.

ARE THERE ANY OTHER RULES?

Well…yes. There are a couple of other rules. If a piece of artwork is submitted that simply won’t work as a stamp because the specs are ignored, then it will be disqualified. What is the point of having a design reach the finals that can’t physically be stamped on a disc?

Also, Infinite Discs has the right to reject any artwork which is considered tasteless or pornographic. Usually manufacturers won’t stamp those kinds of images on discs anyway, because they don’t want their brand associated with highly controversial images. We’re the same way. We don’t want Infinite Discs to openly represent nudity, hate speech, violence, or foul language.

Also, you may not submit artwork that would break copyright laws. You may not submit artwork based on existing, copyrighted images or characters. For example, no existing superheros, movies characters, trademarks, etc. We must reject any artwork which might infringe on the intellectual property rights of another company.

If you have any specific questions you may email todd@infinitediscs.com but please be sure to research everything you can first, because we don’t want to spend a lot of time explaining things that are already outlined here and on the Google submission form.

LET THE STAMP WARS BEGIN!

Website Security Compromise – Site Now Secure

Post Updated September, 26th

It has come to our attention that InfiniteDiscs.com was likely hacked some time in August, and that some customer credit card information entered in our direct credit card checkout was intercepted and shared with a third party.

Our monthly Trustwave PCI Security scan notified us on September, 10th that our site needed a security patch upgrade due to a “Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability.”

At the time we received the notification of this vulnerability, we did not see any evidence that any customer card information had been compromised. However, it was brought to our attention today that several customers have found fraudulent charges on their accounts over the past few days. We suspect that customers who made orders in August and the beginning of September could have had their cards compromised. If you made an order during this time period, please check your credit card statements to make sure that you were not victim to any fraudulent charges.

Website Is Now Secure

This security patch was installed on Tuesday the 19th, and the vulnerability has been resolved. Our Trustwave Scan shows that our site is PCI compliant.

In addition, to ensure that everything is clean and no customer information is at risk, we also had our web hosting company scan to make sure that there are no malicious files on our server. This scan found no signs of malicious scripts.

Card Info Now Entered at Authorize.net

Since the breach, we have also changed our checkout process so that card information will never again be entered on our URL to eliminate the risk of a future cross site scripting hack. All credit card information is now entered directly on our Merchant processing domains Authorize.net or PayPal.com. Infinite Discs does not, and has never collected or stored any customer credit card information. You can be confident that your credit card purchases through InfiniteDiscs.com will be secure.

The Joy of the Mystery Disc

There is a growing niche within the disc golf market that loves a pleasant surprise. This has become apparent with mystery boxes and mystery disc programs popping up from different retailers. Infinite Discs has been a leader in the mystery disc market and have now added a new program, alongside their longer-running programs that have grown over the last few years, like the Deals Box and the VIP Club

The Mystery Disc – Anytime You Want It!

Other disc sellers have joined the trend in selling mystery disc packages. One popular subscription program features a mystery disc plus mystery disc golf swag for $24.99 per month and has been received with open arms by hundreds of disc golf lovers who simply want to try something new without having to think about it. These usually aren’t custom stamped discs, yet still provide the element of surprise to the subscriber. The arrival of a monthly package in the mail is usually cause for excitement.

INFINITE DISCS is happy to introduce a way that customers can get a mystery disc anytime they want! This new program removes the subscription approach and is designed for those who simply want to try a new disc that is a complete surprise to them, but at an affordable price. Infinite Discs now has a Mystery Disc listed on the website, for those who want to buy one, or two, or more as part of their shopping trip. These are not necessarily custom stamped, or limited editions (though some mystery discs may have tournament or special stamps), but they are guaranteed to be premium plastic and high quality discs. Each Mystery Disc is only $12.

But here is an even easier way to get a mystery disc: If you just happen to be shopping the Infinite Discs website, you’ll also see an option during checkout that allows you to add a mystery disc to your package for only $12 extra, on top of your existing order. Plus, you can select to add mystery disc golf swag for another $8 in order to receive any item or combination of accessory items that amount to a value higher than $8. If you click to add one of each, then you’ll be paying only $20 for a mystery disc and mystery swag, and the best part is that you can do it whenever you want. If you don’t necessarily need a monthly surprise, then simply click to add a little mystery to your package every once in a while, when you’re in the mood. Don’t want to spend too much when you can’t afford to? Just be impulsive when you happen to have the extra money and you want a little surprise.

If you only want the mystery swag, which could include anything from a t-shirt in your specified size, a sportsack, towel, keychains, hats, etc. then you can just add it to your cart and check out.

Infinite Discs is always looking for ways to give our customers what they want at an affordable price, and in ways that are convenient to them.

Looking for Deals?

Infinite Discs has had the Deals Box as a product on our website for more than two years now, and it has steadily risen in demand. The boxes sell out quickly whenever a few more are added to inventory. At a price of $67.88, it’s a great deal considering that at least 6 of the 7 discs are guaranteed to be premium plastic blends (the putter can be a softer blend), with a mix of a putter, mid-ranges, plus both overstable and understable drivers. That’s less than $10 per disc. However, there is an element of surprise– either celebratory or disappointment when the box is opened, because the discs are a complete mystery to the buyer!

Some shoppers love the idea of trying out a bunch of randomly selected discs, even if a few are misprints or tournaments stamps, so they don’t really care what is inside the box. Other players are more selective in what they throw, so they run the risk of opening the box and finding discs that they don’t necessarily prefer or need. That’s the risk of a mystery box. But something keeps prompting shoppers to put these Deals Boxes in their cart. This product has remained the best-selling, non-specific disc product on the Infinite Discs website, and has sold far more than any other package set or disc golf starter set that we stock.

The VIP Club

In the spring of 2016, Infinite Discs launched its VIP Club, which is a subscription program that sends a unique, collectible, and completely unannounced disc to subscribers every month. Every month a shiny envelope arrives in the mail that contains a mystery disc. There are only enough discs made for the existing club members, making them instantly collectible and rare because the stamp design, and sometimes even the plastic blend, is unique for the club. Additional small items are usually thrown in the package with the disc, just for fun, like towels, minis, stickers, and other accessories. The opening of the shiny package each month is cause for great anticipation among VIP Club members who rush to post photos online and show-off their special editions. The support for the club has been wonderful, giving collectors and mystery disc lovers a monthly fix and something new to try from different disc makers.

However, the VIP Club isn’t for everybody. Some people really don’t want to spend $19.99 every month for the thrill of a mystery disc that may or may not be something they need. Yet still, there are club members who are very brand-specific in their tastes, but who subscribe because they know that their disc will most likely have a higher resale value than what they paid, when sold to somebody in the right collector market. Some subscribers are signed up for two each month, just because they want one to hang on the wall, and one to throw. Plus, VIP Club members have access to the VIP Club Store which features other uniquely stamped discs from time to time.

All of these programs and products are designed for those players and disc collectors who love the thrill of the unexpected.

New Checkout Upgrade Options

We have made some changes to our site to make it easier for customers to select different shipping upgrades. These enable you to get your order how you want it, when you want it, or add some additional products to your order at a bargain price.

On the first page of the shopping cart, you will notice that four different upgrade options appear.

  • Priority Upgrade – This option bumps your order to the beginning of our pulling queue (we ship almost 200 packages every day) and upgrades your shipping from first class to USPS Priority Mail 2-3 delivery. Medium size packages between one and ten pounds will usually be shipped by Priority mail, even without paying for the priority upgrade.
  • Ship in a Box – Most of our smaller packages (orders of less than five discs) ship in poly bubble mailer bags. This upgrade option gives you the additional protection of a cardboard box. This upgrade is especially valuable for customers who live in apartment complexes or homes with small mailboxes where mail carriers try to bend and cram a package in the mailbox.
  • Mystery Disc – The mystery disc option is new and gives you a premium plastic disc at a bargain price, and with no additional shipping charge. This is a great way to try new discs.
  • Mystery Swag – Like the mystery disc, mystery swag gives you a bonus surprise with your order. Mystery swag may include shirts, hats, towels, socks, mini discs, decals, stickers, lights, water bottles, or a variety of other accessories. The mystery swag you receive will always have a value exceeding $10.

The shipping option upgrades are currently only available for customers in the lower 48 states.

How to Search for Newly Added Discs on Infinite Discs Website

Infinite Discs has been growing at a very fast pace over the last couple of years, and with that growth comes the challenge of keeping up with the website development and building the features that our customers want.

One of the features that has been requested in the past and finally made available to our customers is the NEWLY ADDED DISCS search link. On your computer browser, open the Infinite Discs website, and then look on the right sidebar of the first page to find the link for Newly Added Discs.  Or on your phone browser, simply scroll down until you see the boxed menu for Featured Discs and you’ll see the Newly Added Discs link there.

Infinite Discs has a lot of customers who are disc enthusiasts, and they want to get the best-looking discs, or the discs that meet very specific specifications, before other shoppers find them. They have asked for a way to see what we’re photographing and adding into our inventory in real time. That is now possible!

We’re not yet at the point where we’re adding inventory 24-hours-per-day, but we are usually adding new inventory onto the website during business hours on weekdays. With the Newly Added Discs link you can search for those fresh additions in almost anyway you’d like. Either refresh the page from time to time to see what else has been added in, or select a time period that you’d like to search, along with other specific queries to narrow down your search.

You can select to search for the last 7 Days, 10 Days, 15 Days, 20 Days, or 30 Days. Just to warn you, searching the discs added in the last 30 discs could pull up well over 8,000 results. If you want to search back further than that, you might as well search the entire website using the Advanced Disc Search feature, which is an excellent way to narrow down searches of the entire online inventory. Keep in mind that using the Newly Added Discs link will narrow your search to discs entered into inventory within the last 30 days (or fewer) so it will not automatically search the store entire inventory.

You can also narrow your disc search by brand, by disc model, or within a weight range, or a combination of all of those factors. Let’s say that I want to see which P2 putters by Discmania are still available from those entered in the last 30 days, but I only want max weight (175g) discs. I can select to search 30 Days, Discmania brand, P2 Psycho as the model, and 175g as my minimum weight. Suddenly, those discs appear and I can add them to my cart simply by scrolling through and clicking the “Add to Cart” button by the discs I want.

Be the first to find the treasures that used to take more effort and time! Find what you’re looking for quickly and easily! Or just sit and refresh the screen while we work to add new discs into our inventory.

Here is a tutorial video that will walk you through the process.
We always welcome your feedback!

Technical Difficulties at Infinite Discs and Solutions

Having issues using our site recently? You aren’t alone!

Here at Infinite Discs, we work hard to keep our site up to date and running as smooth as possible. Over the past few years we have expanded and improved our site to become what we believe is the best disc golf website in the world. With over 32,000 discs in inventory and pictures of every disc in stock, we are the ultimate disc golf store. We also offer helpful resources for shoppers including advanced disc search, inventory alerts, product reviews, and much more! We are also there to help with the rest of your disc golf experience with Infinite Courses and Infinite Tournaments. We offer player profiles that allow you to track your scores and stats to improve your disc golf game. And this is just scratching the surface! We love disc golf, and we love making it better for everyone.

Of course, maintaining the top disc golf website and keeping it secure is no easy task, and unfortunately, we now and then run into technical hiccups that prevent our site from functioning properly. We have recently identified a couple that have been particularly bothersome, so we just wanted to write up a quick post to identify these hiccups, so when you encounter them on the site you will know how to respond. Here are our two breakdowns

The Internet Explorer Phenomenon

Have you already gone through the breakup with IE? Had the difficult and awkward, “It’s not you…well actually, it is kind of you, and not me” conversation? If you have, keep scrolling, because this error is only going to affect Internet Explorer users.

So here is a breakdown of this pesky error that has been inflicting our site for a while now. When a prospective customer using IE tries to purchase a disc via credit or debit card on our site, most of the time it processes the order correctly with no issues. But occasionally, the customer will see an error saying that their card info was incorrect and they need to try again. Then, a few things happen from here depending on the customer. If they are hooked into their email, they will see their payment receipt email, so they move on thinking the order must have gone through. Or, they keep trying, getting the same result until for some reason after the 2nd-10th time, the order goes through correctly. Then, things get interesting when they look at their bank statement to find that they have been charged for every attempted payment on the site. Obviously, this is not a pleasant discovery that usually results in an email to us.

So here is what happens on our end. When this error occurs, basically there is a miscommunication between our payment system and our inventory system, resulting in a captured payment, but an incomplete order. So for those who see their payment receipt and don’t try to pay again, their order is stuck in our pending orders, and the order is never shipped even though they were charged. Usually these customers contact us within a few days and we can manually take the discs they ordered out of our inventory and ship the order out. However, sometimes the discs they ordered are sold within the next few days because our system did not take them out of online inventory. In those cases, we either find replacements or just cancel and refund the order.

Now for those who are charged multiple times until the order goes through, we try to check our payment info every day for duplicate charges. We don’t always catch them, but when we do we make sure to void the extra payments before the payments actually settle. Sometimes customers stop trying after a few attempts, so they are charged multiple times without a completed order like those in the first scenario.

Long story short, this error really is an easy fix once we are made aware of it. Once the payment is made, we can manually move the order from pending orders to new orders in our system and get the discs taken out of our inventory and shipped out. We have worked with our developers to try and fix this error, but no solution has been able to be found yet because of a lack of support from the folks at IE.

So the solution?? The easiest solution is to upgrade to Google Chrome or Firefox. We have found these browsers allow for optimal performance from our site. But if you need to make your orders from an older work computer, or you have fully committed to a life with IE, just let us know right away when you see this error. Again, most of the time, it works just fine. But if you get an error message saying your card info wasn’t correct, don’t try to pay again. Just shoot us an email or give us a call right away, and we can fix it all manually very easily. Or, you can also select the pay with PayPal option when using IE. You don’t have to have a PayPal account, but you can just use PayPal’s servers to run your credit or debit card.

Now for our next issue…

The Frozen Payment Page

This is a pretty new hiccup that occurred when we upgraded our firewall and web security. It has been found inflicting all internet browsers. Here is how this one goes. The customer goes to make a purchase on our site. They type in all their credit or debit card info, and then click on the green “Proceed with Card” button. And then…nothing happens. No error page, no loading screen, no response at all! The same thing also occurs when trying to register for tournaments.

What causes this? We aren’t exactly sure, but we believe that it has something to do with web browsers trying to connect to our site through the old version of our firewall rather than the new active firewall.

After tinkering around, we found the solution—clearing and updating the browser cache.
We have found that if people update their browser cache, and on some devices reset the computer (the classic, “turn it off and then turn it on again” solution), they are able to proceed with the payment just fine. Now, say you are trying to make an order super fast for a hot new release before it sells out, like maybe the new Tour Series Metal Flake TeeBird3, and you don’t have time to clear the cache and reset your computer. Then, like with the IE error, you can select the pay with PayPal option. Again, no PayPal account is needed. You can just use the PayPal server to process your credit or debit card payment. After doing this, I would then suggest you clear your cache and reset your computer so you are set to go for next time.

Conclusion

I know, I know, these errors are such a pain! It is a frustrating experience for everyone involved (especially us). But we want all our customers to read this post so they can be in the know on the current technical difficulties that we are battling. We hope that these are just temporary issues that will be fixed as we continue to grow and improve our website and your Infinite Discs experience.
