In this blog series we are looking at some of the most popular items in various categories, and we continue with a look at Large Disc Golf bags. These are bags that hold more than the typical starter bag, but not quite as much as a backpack bag. This size bag is kind of a ‘tweener, being small enough that a beginner could use it, and big enough that an experienced golfer might still use these bags for tournament play. Whatever the reason for buying them, we have picked the five most popular Large Bags for 2019.

Let’s start with the most popular bag in this category, the Prodigy Practice bag. I don’t know if Prodigy meant to tap into the disc storage market, but I know a lot of people who bought a few of this bag just to store their discs. It is the perfect size for taking a bunch of discs to a field for practice. And for keeping a bunch of discs organized, whether it’s at your house or in your car. At that price point, it’s easy to pick up a couple and stash your extra discs. Or use one for field work. It holds between 30-45 discs. The Practice Bag is now only available in V2 model and sells for $24.99.

The next most popular bag actually takes second and third spot. It is the Infinite Discs Large bag. In second place with straps, and in third place without straps (with a shoulder strap). If a cooler isn’t needed, it can be removed, making space for more discs or apparel. The Soldier Bag holds 18+ discs in the main compartment and two putters in the putter pouch. We have a short-and-sweet Top 20 Tuesday report this week. We’re heading into the final preparations for the huge Infinite Discs Black Friday series of sales. Because of that, we’re going to halt the Top 20 Tuesday chart reports until the sales are over and resume again on December 10th. On that day we’ll share the Top 20 Chart that spans from now until then, so you’ll see which crazy deals and special releases saw the most action during the sales.

The Splatter S-Blend TOMB jumped to the #1 spot for the last week, as it was introduced alongside the Splatter-S-Blend PHARAOH which took the #3 spot. There are still a lot of players who are just now discovering the TOMB as a great approach putter and mid-range stand-in. The Ethos MANTRA from Thought Space Athletics continued to hold a strong position in its 2nd week on the Top 20 chart, taking the #2 spot. It is an excellent straight-to-understable driver for all players.

Other familiar discs moved around the chart, including the usual Star DESTROYER and D-Line P2, among others.

WINNER – The number 7 spot was taken by the D-Line P2 putter this week. It looks like Daniel was the first to guess that disc for the #7 spot, so he’s this week’s $10 gift card winner. Congratulations!

GIFT CARD PREDICTION FOR NEXT WEEK: As described above, there will be no guess for next week’s chart since we will not post another chart until AFTER the “Black Friday” sales conclude and we can tally everything up. We’ll see you again on December 10th when there will undoubtedly be a very crazy and unpredictable chart.
