It’s spring time here in northern Utah and the snow levels on the mountains are rising with the temperatures. The warmer weather mean more opportunities for hucking discs. It also means more lost discs. Although I can’t guarantee you’ll stop losing discs in this blog, I’ll give you a couple tips to improve your odds of getting lost discs back.
Regardless of your skill level, if you play enough disc golf you will end up losing a disc (or two. Or ten) Whether the disc ends up in some bushes, a body of water, or even deep snow, many of us end up walking away from a disc on a course. What can we do to improve our chances of getting our disc back?
While there are a few disc golfers, who live by the motto, “Finders, Keepers”, there are many more who will attempt to get the disc back to its original owner. Some of those people will only make the attempt if there is contact information on the disc (as opposed to posting a picture on a local Facebook page.) That leads us to the first tip.
Write Your Contact Info on Your Discs
This simple task of writing your name or some contact information greatly improves your chances of getting your disc back if it gets lost. If you are not comfortable writing your name and/or phone number, consider using an email address. You could also get a Google Voice phone number (which is what I do) that you use exclusively for this purpose, and put that on your disc. Whatever method you use, giving people a way to contact you might make the difference between getting your disc back or not.
Check Your Penmanship
It is frustrating to me when I find a disc that has a number on it, but can’t read the digits. Is that a six, or an eight, or maybe a zero? I don’t want to text a bunch of wrong numbers in my quest to return your disc to you. If you don’t have the most legible penmanship, ask someone else to write your info on your disc. Another convenient option is to buy a rubber stamp with your info on it. Then you can quickly stamp your discs with clear information.
Refresh and Update
Even if you diligently write your contact info on your disc, it will fade over time. That phone number you wrote last year might not be visible, and lead to people having to decipher what your digits are. Take the time at the beginning of the season to check your go-to discs to see how the ink is holding up. You’ll save a disc finder from having to do detective work.
Many people change their phone number when they get a new phone. If you do, remember to update your discs with your new number. It’s a bummer for me to attempt to return a disc with a number on it, only to get the message that a number is no longer in service. Or to have someone reply that it isn’t their disc.
Bye-Bye Bag
Every year, without fail, I see a Facebook post from a disc golfer saying their entire bag got stolen out of their car. Many times, their fellow club members will offer replacement discs, which is good to see. However, avoiding the theft in the first place would be preferable.
By not storing your disc in your car, you reduce the opportunities that a thief has to take your stuff. A lot of people keep their bag in their car all the time, for convenience. If that is the case, lock it in your trunk. If it isn’t visible, it will be less of a temptation for an opportunistic bad guy. Someone could still break into a locked trunk, or even your house, but they are less likely to go to that length for a bag and some plastic.
Keep Your Discs!
After a recent local tournament and league, I found 38 discs in or around a river that runs through the course. I was able to contact the owners of 28 of the discs from the phone numbers on the discs. Those are good stats, in my opinion. And they were made possible because people took the time to write their contact info on their discs. (Another seven got claimed after I posted a picture of the discs on our club Facebook page.) Increase the odds that YOU get your disc back by writing your contact info on your discs!
If you need to replace a lost disc, I know a good place to shop for a new one!
Laws Regarding Found Property
On a side note, I’ve seen a lot of debate about whether or not people make an effort to return discs that they find. Some people, as mentioned above, believe in ‘Finders, Keepers’. Others will make an effort to locate the owners. What are the legal ramifications of keeping a disc?
In Utah and some of the surrounding states, the law requires you to either notify or surrender the disc to law enforcement or a government entity. In the entire history of disc golf, I doubt this has ever happened. (Idaho law states that the item must be over $100 in value, which excludes most discs.) It may be a requirement to surrender a found disc, but those are laws with very little teeth.
Years ago, professional disc golfer Drew Gibson had a vision for a disc golf brand. He wanted to start a company whose mission was to offer a variety of high-quality discs at reasonable prices. In 2021, that dream became a reality with the creation of Finish Line Discs.
Finish Line had their first mold approved by the PDGA in January, 2022. The inaugural mold for the new brand was the Era, a control driver with a fairly neutral flight. Since then, Finish Line has added putters, mids, distance drivers, and a couple more control drivers
The Finish Line name, along with the names of its disc molds, clearly reflects a racing and race car-inspired theme. Molds like Chicane, Interval, and Sector are all tied to race track concepts, while Daytona unmistakably highlights the brand’s connection to racing.
Infinite Discs has the best selection of Finish Line Discs, and for a few days you can take 20% off our already low prices by using the discount code, Finish20. The code will be good from now until Tuesday. Check out all of the Finish Line molds HERE, then enter the code Finish20 when you check out.

Over the past decade, disc golf carts have gained significant popularity. With more companies entering the market, players now have a wide range of options to choose from. Disc golfers at all skill levels, from casual players to seasoned professionals, have embraced the convenience of using a cart whenever possible. These carts help conserve energy, reduce repetitive strain, and provide extra space for discs, snacks, water, and other accessories. They make a round of disc golf more comfortable and enjoyable.
As a dedicated cart user, I’m often surprised that more people haven’t jumped on board. Maybe this blog will change that! You can also click here to check out the top-selling carts.
In this article, I’ll go over the different types of carts available and discuss their pros and cons. That way, you can find the one that best fits your specific needs and playing style.
Different Types of Carts
I like to categorize carts based on whether they require an additional bag for disc storage. Some carts are designed to hold an existing bag, while others have built-in shelves for your discs.
For carts that require a separate bag, you simply attach your current bag to the cart, which is typically quick and easy. Some models allow you to leave the bag attached while transporting, while others require separate storage for the bag and cart.
For carts with built-in disc storage, you’ll need to transfer your discs from your bag to the cart. If you frequently play on courses that aren’t cart-friendly, you’ll find yourself switching discs between the cart and your bag often.
Carts That Require an Additional Bag
ZUCA Trekker and Trekker LG Cart
These carts are based on the ZUCA Backpack and Backpack LG models. The ‘LG’ stands for Large, meaning it’s slightly bigger than the standard Trekker. The Trekker has a 22” axle and can hold 20-25 discs, while the LG has a 24” axle and holds up to 30 discs. Both feature a telescoping handle and a built-in seat that supports up to 300 lbs.
Pros:
Built-in seat
No additional bag needed
Cons:
Requires a separate bag for non-cart courses
Takes up significant space for transport
ZUCA Compact Cart
A smaller, more lightweight option for those who don’t carry as many discs. It maintains the 22” axle for stability and includes a built-in seat, though it sits lower than other carts.
Pros:
Easier to move and transport
Built-in seat
Low center of gravity
Cons:
Requires a separate bag for non-cart courses
Limited space for discs and accessories
ZUCA All-Terrain Cart
A larger version of the Compact Cart, holding up to 32 discs with additional storage pockets and interior space. Includes a built-in seat and a 22” axle.
Pros:
Built-in seat
Plenty of storage space
Cons:
Requires a separate bag for non-cart courses
ZUCA Transit Cart
Includes a built-in disc bag with extra storage underneath. It has a 24” axle and a built-in seat, with space for up to 25 discs.
Pros:
Built-in seat
Extra storage space
Cons:
Requires a separate bag for non-cart courses
Limited extra disc storage
Frame Carts – Use Your Own Bag
These carts allow you to attach your existing bag, so your discs remain in the same place whether you’re using the cart or not. Some have built-in seats, while others don’t. They come in a variety of styles, including two-wheel and three-wheel options.
ZUCA Backpack and Backpack LG
These carts include a seat, telescoping handle, and water bottle holders. However, all storage space comes from the attached bag. The Backpack cart has a 22” axle, while the LG has a 24” axle.
Pros:
Easy to remove your bag for non-cart courses
Built-in seat
Cons:
Larger cart to transport
Additional cost for a bag
Limited storage space
MVP Rover 2 Cart
A compact, lightweight cart with water bottle holders and a telescoping handle. It has a low center of gravity but no built-in seat.
Pros:
Easy to remove your bag
Small and easy to transport
Maneuvers well

Easy to remove your bag
Extra storage for accessories or a cooler bag
Small and easy to transport
Cons:
Requires a separate bag
Rovic RV1D 2.0
A foldable push cart made by Clickgear, originally for ball golf. Holds any disc golf bag and features a locking brake, storage space, drink holders, and an umbrella holder. Various accessories are available, including a seat, insulated storage bag, and weatherproof mitts. It struggles on uneven ground going forward, but is easy to pull backward over rough terrain.
Pros:
Easy to push
Many accessories available
Compact when folded
Holds the bag at a convenient height
Cons:
Front wheel doesn’t pivot, requiring tipping to turn
Accessories add to the cost
Water bottle holders are too small for larger bottles
BagBoy Disc Golf Quad XL Push Cart
A four-wheel push cart with superior stability compared to two- and three-wheel models. It includes built-in storage, a drink holder, and an umbrella holder. The handle-mounted brake ensures it stays put on inclines.
Pros:
Stable and easy to push
Bag sits higher for easy access
Built-in accessory storage
Cons:
Optional seat is expensive
Additional accessories can be pricey
Front wheels don’t pivot
Built-in water bottle holder is small
Finding the Right Cart for You
To choose the best cart, consider:
Do you mainly play on cart-friendly courses?
Do you have enough vehicle space for a cart?
How much extra storage do you need?
Will you use it for tournaments?
What’s your budget, including accessories?
Do you need a seat during rounds?
Answering these questions will help narrow your choices. From there, you can consider styles and colors that suit your preference.
Carts for the Win!
Many disc golfers who have invested in a cart say they’ll never go back! With all the benefits they offer, it’s no surprise. Use this guide to find the best cart for you, and check out the selection at Infinite Discs HERE.
We want to hear from you! Do you use a cart? Which one? If not, which cart would best fit your needs—or why wouldn’t you get one? Let us know your thoughts!
Although some of us play disc golf casually and aren’t concerned about improving our skill, many of us want to get better so we can compete. Hands down, one of the best ways to dial in our putting is to have a basket readily accessible. Regular putting practice results in improvements in our putting game. So, which basket would be the best for you? Well, that depends on a couple things.
In this blog we’ll look at those factors and determine the best baskets, which will help you narrow down your choices. We also want to hear from you at the end, and will be giving out gift cards to random commenters.
Best Basket For You
One of the first questions that I ask someone who is looking for a basket is how it will mainly be used. If you are going to be setting up the basket in your backyard and at most moving around your yard, your basket needs will be different than if you will be hauling it to parks to practice, and occasionally the course for a temp hole from time to time.
I’ll group the baskets according their general type. The baskets will be sorted by Economy Baskets, Cloth Baskets, High-end Home Baskets, Narrow Baskets and Course Baskets. Then I will list the best for each type.
Best Economy Baskets
This is an entry level type of basket that is great for a first basket, a basket on a budget, or if you just want a basket but don’t want to spend much money. This level of basket does not have the quality nor disc catching ability of a more expensive basket. However, you can still develop your putting skills as much on an economy basket as a more expensive basket.
Economy baskets are typically easy to set up and move around. If you will be taking the basket to a park for practice, they are a good option. Since they aren’t the best at catching discs, they wouldn’t be your first choice for a temp basket for a tournament. But, they would work just fine in a pinch.
Doomsday Discs presents their “Lite” practice basket which is a more sturdy, solid basket than most “lite” baskets on the market, but at an affordable, low cost. It is very easy to assemble and disassemble while still remaining very sturdy for backyard or bunker practice. The Doomsday Lite basket comes in 4 vibrant color options to spice up your practice sessions. This basket has two rows of 12 zinc-coated chains each, making 24 chains total.
The Lite baskets from MVP/Streamline/Axiom are similar in design and function. The Black Hole Lite is available in black, while the Streamline and Axiom versions come in several different colors. All three brands have 26 chains for improved stopping power. They are lighter, less expensive versions of the Pro series. They all set up easily without tools.
The Pro Basket is a step up from the Lite in both cost and quality. The quality of the welds, electroplating, and design combine to give you a upper-level quality at an entry-level price. The Pro basket has 24 chains in a pattern to help minimize chain outs and run throughs, to improve your confidence.
Since portability is a major reason to purchase a basket, making the basket out of cloth will help make moving it around even easier. Cloth baskets fold up and are easy to carry. I’ve had my Mach Lite for over a decade and it still works fine.
The design of the Mach Lite is impressive. It sets up in about a minute, and takes down in about the same. The included cloth bag makes it easy to transport. With the cloth basket you will make putts that you wouldn’t make on a metal basket, and run through the chains more, but if you’re looking for ease of transport, it’s worth it.
If you like to practice putting and you have a bunch of putters, this is a basket to consider. It’s deep basket let’s you putt a dozen discs and they will sit deep enough that they won’t interfere with your putts. It is similar to the Mach Lite in its ability to catch discs, which isn’t the best. But since it is easy to haul around, that is a good trade off.
The chains on the Scout feel a little stiffer than the Mach Lite or the Traveler. If you have a fast putt, the chains will help stop your discs. If not, you may end up with more bounce outs than you would like. You definitely won’t have discs run through the chains. Like the other cloth baskets, the Scout sets up easily and at 24 pounds is easy to transport.
Best High-end Home Baskets
If you want to duplicate the performance of a course basket but don’t want to fork out the big bucks for one, these are some good baskets to consider. They are more durable and stop discs better than economy baskets. If you will be moving baskets around a lot these will hold up better. They usually still as easy to disassemble. If you are okay with the extra cost, these will last longer than cheaper baskets.
Another step up from the Pro baskets, the Pro HD has additional features that bump it out of the economy range. It features thicker wire and heavier chains than the Pro. Naturally this makes it a little more difficult to carry around. Yet, it still disassembles in under a minute. Considering the quality improvements, this basket is not much more than the HD.
This high-end home basket features 24 hot-dip galvanized chains to catch your putts. It comes in three powder-coated colors to give you a little variety. It is designed to replicate the performance of a course basket, but at a much lower cost.
The DisCatcher Sport 24 is a high-quality basket that you can use at home for putting practice, and also as a temp basket on a course. It is easy to move around and set up. It features 18 chains in the outer row, and six on the inner. This is a good combination of disc stopping and run-through prevention. Requires a screwdriver for assembly/disassembly.
This genre of basket is designed to help you focus on a smaller target, then when you are playing on a regulation basket, it will seem bigger. I’ve had one in the past and I liked putting on it. I wouldn’t recommend one as a first basket. If you already have a regular basket, this would make a good second basket.
This is a lighter and much less expensive basket than the Marksman. It has fewer chains and is lighter. It is still difficult to actually make it int the basket when putting. That’s kind of the point of this type of basket. Still, even fewer putts will stick in this basket vs the Marksman. If you’re okay with that then you’ll save quite a bit by going with this version of the Marksman.
Like the other Black Hole baskets, the Precision is also easy to set up or take down – without tools. It has a single row of 12 chains in a narrow ring. The chains are course-weighted for more stopping power and fewer bounce outs.
The ProBasket Skill is a higher quality target basket at a higher price. It has 15 chains and will grab a few more putts than the other narrow baskets. If you are going to be moving the baskets around a lot, it would be worth it to have the more sturdy ProBasket. If not, save a few bucks and get one of the less expensive baskets.
The Mach Shift is a hybrid basket that converts from a regular sized basket to a narrow basket. And if you really want to hone your focus, it drops down to become a shorter narrow basket! It has pretty good disc stopping ability as a full-sized basket and should be considered as an option if you’re thinking about getting a narrow basket.
Best Course Baskets
These baskets are professional level portable baskets. They are heavy-duty, and heavy. If you want to mimic all of the benefits of a course basket at home, these are the baskets for you. You’ll get durability and disc-grabbing power. Plus, if you need to add a hole to an existing course, these baskets will fill in nicely.
Weighing in at 60 pounds, you’ll be glad that the Dynamic Discs Recruit comes with a wheel on the base. It has 26 heavy-duty chains to grab your discs. With tools you can break down the basket for transport, and it will fit nicely in your trunk. This basket is great for putting practice because it performs just like a professional course basket. Plus, if you need a basket for a temp course, this one will
Approved for sanctioned tournaments up to B-Tier. The ProBasket Trainer has two rows of 13 chains each to catch and hold your putts. It is a top-tier basket that is similar to the best course baskets. The ProBasket comes apart for easier transport.
This blog gives you some ideas about the options available for you. By considering what you will be using the basket for, and how much you want to spend, you can pick a basket that will work for you. Keep in mind, if you are practicing your putts on even the cheapest basket, you will still be improving!

The Armored Rooster took on the Rawr Dino, which was no easy feat! Despite being the underdog, the Rooster manages to make the Dino back down from the battle. It got the win in the first round, but has its eye on the final victory.
In a dramatic last Round One battle, Tommy Kitty managed to pull off what some are calling the upset of the century. The Flying Pig is a very popular mascot! However, many of us were rooting for the Kitty, and weren’t at all surprised at the results.
The beloved Ninja Alpaca entered the octagon against the Whale Rider and came out on top. The Alpaca disc and logo have been fan favorites since their release. However, the Ninja will now face other fan favorites. Will the Ninja have what it takes to beat the rest?!
The Final Showdown: Who Will Reign Supreme?
Here’s how it works: Over the past weeks, Infinite has featured new characters on our stamps, and fans have rallied behind their favorite mascots. Last week’s battle was proof that the Vegas odds makers aren’t always right. Once again, the ‘underdog’ came out on top of the Choose Your Fighter competition and will advance in the bracket. The Armored Rooster proved too much for the Rawr Dino got the win. The Rooster crowed loudly at the results, while Dino let out a very sad ‘Rawr’. Rooster will face the winner of this week’s battle, the Flying Pig vs. the Tommy Kitty.
One of our more popular mascots, the Pig has appeared in several different stamps. The Flying Pig is popular among all its stamps. I’ll be cheering for the Tommy Kitty, one of my favorites, but it won’t be an easy battle. There were rumors that the Flying Pig was talking trash about the Kitty, saying it was going to be an easy win! When asked to confirm the rumors, the Pig just said, ‘oink’!
This is the last Round One battle. Next week the previous winners will face off.
Grab a disc rocking your favorite character from the links below (especially the Tommy Kitty!):
Here’s how it works: We’ve featured lots of new characters on our stamps over the years. Now we’ll find out which is the most popular! Each week, two of the eight Infinite characters will face off in a battle for dominance. During that week, Infinite will have discs available with each combatant on the stamp. Whichever character sells the most that week is the winner of that battle. The winning mascot cheers and advances in the bracket, while the pouts and hides.
This weeks battle will end on Monday, and two new fighters will do battle!

Max Stick Retriever: Lightweight and extendable for reaching distant discs. The suction cup ball on the end is amazing for grabbing discs out of the water. This popular retriever can also reach high in trees and even nab a disc over a fence.
Golden Retriever: Excellent for water hazards or hard-to-reach areas. Just toss the retriever past the disc, then pull it in. You can even add more rope to extend your reach. Pro tip: wrap the rope around a separate spool instead of the retriever itself. Then you just have to unspool the amount you need, instead of the entire length of rope.
Disc golfers like to keep our discs organized, but don’t always take time to get something to keep them in some kind of order. Here are a couple gift ideas that they will love.
Storage Racks – Racks come in a variety of sizes and materials to neatly store and organize their disc golf collection. Eliminate those piles of discs with one of these racks or shelving systems.
Disc Totes – The disc tote is the simple way to organize the discs in your room, closet, or the trunk of your car. It holds 60-80 discs and allows you to neatly store your backups and alternate discs. The Tote comes with pockets for your accessories, a cover, and handles to carry the tote from house to car. Plus, it folds up compactly when not in use.
Believe it or not, there are fun things to do outside of disc golf! Infinite has games and puzzles that you can play when you’re not out hucking. Join the fun with your disc golfer with these options. Great disc golf gifts are ones that you can all enjoy!

What would Christmas be without some new plastic under the tree?! They make the best disc golf gifts. At Infinite, we always have new molds, discs on sale, and all of the top selling discs for the top brands. You’re sure to find a disc that will fit your needs, and their desires. Here are a few links:
Newly Added Molds Check out discs that just got entered into our system and nab the hot ones before anyone else! Sometimes they are restocks, sometimes they are limited edition discs. Find the mold, color, and weight that you’re looking for before most people know they are available.
What discs are on sale Looking for a bargain? Save a few bucks on the top brands and molds. Or find a new brand and discover your next go-to disc. We always have something on sale!
Misprint Discs What is better than finding a mold with the perfect weight and color? Finding the same disc in the misprint section! You get the same disc, but you save money. This is also a great option for people who dye discs, since you will be wiping the stamp off anyway.
If you wonder what other people are throwing, check out our list of highest-rated discs and see the discs that people are raving about. Find the type of disc you’re looking for, and see the top rated in that category (highest rated overstable disc, driver, discs sorted by manufacturer, etc).
The top selling discs can also be viewed. Those can also be viewed by category, such as best selling last year, best selling drivers, best selling understable discs.
If you still aren’t sure which discs they might like, check out the fool-proof system, the ‘Favorites’ list (see below).
Disc Golf Favorites List
‘Favorite Discs’ Feature under My Profile – Teach your disc golfers about the Favorites feature! At Infinite Discs, we’ve added a feature to our website that allows users to save their favorite discs to a list. From that list they can select to be notified any time we add their selection to our inventory. They can also narrow their Favorite selection down to plastic type, weight, and even color. Here’s how it works:
From the disc mold page, click the ADD TO MY FAVORITES button.
Select options that you would like to filter for, such as weight and color.
You then have the option to turn on/off email notifications for the selected discs, edit, or delete favorites by clicking the icons to the right of the favorite discs. Have them show you their Favorite list, and you’re guaranteed to get them the exact disc they want!
