Will My Package Arrive By Christmas?

With Christmas drawing near, we have a lot of customers who want to know if their package will arrive by Christmas.

Our staff at Infinite Discs is doing all we can to ensure that your package will arrive by December 25th. All orders received by 4:30 PM MST, are shipped out the same day. With that said, we have to rely on the different parcel carriers for the actual delivery. We cannot guarantee any delivery by a certain date. Here are some guidelines for the last days you will want to order different items, if you want to make sure* they arrive before Christmas. Read this article if you’re looking for good Christmas Gift Ideas.

Small Packages:

Safe Order Deadline to arrive by Christmas: Friday, December 16th.

Small packages (2 Christmas Discs or less discs), towels, small accessories, mini’s, physical gift cards, etc. weighing less than 16oz will ship by USPS first class mail with a 2-5 day delivery.

Because we are located in Utah, areas in the Western United States are likely to receive packages in less transit time than those in the Eastern US. For those in the West there’s a good chance that you still might receive your package by Christmas if you order it before Dec 21st.

Assuming the worst with a 5 day delivery (in most instances it will be less), unless you make a Priority mail upgrade you will want to make sure your order is in by 4:30 on Friday, December 16th, 2022.

With Priority Mail Upgrade

If you pay extra for the “Shipping Upgrade” (2-5 day delivery), your likely safe date to receive by Christmas is extended two additional days to Monday, December 19th. The package will most likely arrive in time if the order is placed early in the day by Friday as well, but if your order is made after 4:30 PM on the 20th, and you NEED it by Christmas, contact support@infinitediscs.com and we can give you a quote of what the cost will be for expedited shipping.

Medium Sized Packages:

Safe Order Deadline without Priority Upgrade: Monday, December 16th

For medium sized packages 5-11 discs and economy bags, we usually ship UPS Ground to Easern states and USPS Priority mail to Western States. Depending on your proximity to Utah, and the size of your package, these packages may also go USPS Priority Mail. Orders received by 4:30 on Friday, December 16th, should arrive by Christmas.

UPS offers a service to estimate your approximate shipping time. Use this tool to see what they estimate for a shipment from Logan, Utah 84321 to your address with this tool.

If your order is made after December 16th, and you NEED it by Christmas, contact support@infinitediscs.com and we can give you a quote of what the cost will be for express delivery.

Large Packages

Safe Order Deadline: Friday, December 13th

Large packages including baskets, large backpacks, and 11+ discs are typically shipped by UPS ground, which can take up to a week to arrive depending on your location and proximity to Utah. It’s also important to know that many of these products are drop shipped directly from the manufacturer, who may not process your order as quickly as we do in house. If you want a large package to arrive by Christmas, you’ll likely be fine if your order is in by December 16th, but to be safe, you’ll want them in by 2:00 on Wednesday the 14th.

Unless you want to specifically arrange to pay a small fortune for expedited shipping, make sure you have them in early. Large packages are not eligible for USPS priority upgrade shipping. When shipping upgrades are made on our website, you receive expedited processing, but there are often no 3 day shipping options. Shipping large packages overnight or priority mail can literally cost you hundreds of dollars. If you need an expedited order for a large package, contact support@infinitediscs.com for a quote on your different shipping options.

International Orders

Safe Order Deadline: It Might Be Too Late

If you want something internationally, it might already be too late to get to you by Christmas. For international shipping we use UPS Mail Innovations which usually arrives to Canada and Europe within two weeks, but not always. So if you order before December 9th there is a good chance you will receive it by Christmas, but there is no guarantee.

There are expedited international shipping options, but they are very costly. Contact our support team if you would like a quote for expedited International delivery.

If you’re too late for a disc golf Christmas gift, There is always next year right? Or, consider a Happy New Year gift… But you don’t really need a reason to give somebody a great disc golf gift do you?

Gift Cards

Deadline to Arrive By Christmas: December 25th

The safest bet (and arguably the best Christmas gift for an avid disc golfer) is an E-Gift card. An email gift card code will be sent to you (or directly to the recipient) within seconds. The other nice thing about an electronic gift card is that you can personalize it any way you want. Print it up and put it in a card or a picture with an original poem you wrote, or a picture of yourself. Who doesn’t like a personalized gift? Or to make things super simple, just email the code directly to the recipient.

Overnight Shipping?

Safe Order Deadline: Nonexistent

What if I wait until the week of Christmas to make my order? Overnight and rushed 2 day shipping options are available, but these can get pricey and there are no promises on delivery time. This is not a safe option, however, if you would like to give it a try, email or call us before you make the order. The shipping price on these are determined case by case. Again, at this point, the best ordering option may be a gift card.

*In rare instances (less than 1% of all orders), packages get misplaced or lost by the individual carriers, or bad weather slows pickup or delivery, and packages do not arrive by the estimated time frame. We cannot guarantee that any package will actually arrive by Christmas.

PDGA Worlds Week – What to Look For

This is arguably the biggest week of the year for the disc golf world. It is THE week when a World Champion will be crowned.

Now, the reality is that the PDGA Disc Golf World Championship is basically just another disc golf tournament. It’s a little bit longer than most pro events, but the only thing that matters is how an individual player plays this week. It doesn’t matter how well they’ve played the rest of the season, what matters is how they perform right now. The different between Worlds and any other tournament is the history of the event and the Title associated with the winning it.

If you don’t think there is anything different between this and other tournaments, ask Paul McBeth or Paige Pierce what they think. Even better, watch the documentaries on the Disc Golf Network.

To help you prepare for the drama of Worlds, Jace (used to be our main blog writer, now the editor at Disc Golf Reviewer) has broken down the narratives of who and what to watch among the MPO field.

MPO Players and Narratives to Watch For

Today the 2022 PDGA Disc Golf World Championship kicks off in Emporia, Kansas. Worlds is the biggest event in our sport, and after last year’s “Holy Shot” and phenomenal playoff finish, there is a tangible buzz in the air leading up to this year’s MPO event. The drama of last year’s
event and the pandemic have drawn a lot of new eyes to professional disc golf. So whether you are new to Worlds or you’ve been following since the Ken Climo days, here are some names and narratives to follow as you take in all 5 rounds of the high disc flying action this week.

Ricky Wysocki

Ricky Wysocki enters Worlds as one of if not the presumptive favorite to win the event and make himself a 3x World Champion. He has had an excellent 2022 season on tour with wins at Texas States, Ledgestone, and DDO, the latter was of course played on the same courses he will be navigating this week in Emporia.

There are lots of narratives to keep tabs on when watching Ricky this year. Emporia, Kansas hosted Worlds just six years ago in 2016, which is the year Ricky broke through the glass ceiling to finally win his first World Championship after finishing as runner-up in 3 of the previous 4 years. And let’s not forget whose plastic he was throwing and will be throwing now—For the 2016 season, Ricky left his long time sponsor Prodigy Disc to join Team Latitude 64 and switch his bag over to Trilogy (Latitude 64, Westside Discs, and Dynamic Discs). Dynamic Discs is headquartered in Emporia, Kansas.

After winning another World Championship with Latitude 64 in 2017, in 2019 Ricky Wysocki switched disc sponsors again and joined Team Innova, only to switch sponsors again at the beginning of this 2022 season. What team does Ricky represent now?

Dynamic Discs, meaning Ricky is back to throwing the same plastic he was throwing when he won his two previous Worlds. Oh, and perhaps you’ve heard of his rival…

Paul McBeth

You can’t spell Disc Golf World Championship without Paul McBeth. While McBeth hasn’t
been as dominant in recent years (BTW, I’d take 2015 McBeth over peak Jordan or Woods any
day of the week, but especially on Sundays), he is still the biggest name in the sport, and it would
be a tragic mistake to overlook him. In every Worlds since 2012, Paul has finished as either the champion or the runner-up. He is a 5x World Champion for a reason, and I guarantee McBeast is one of if not the biggest concern for anyone who has hopes for taking home the crown this week.

Some folks might try to make a big deal about Paul’s poor performance in Emporia earlier this year at DDO where he missed the cut for the first time ever in his career, but this feels negligible to me for a player of Paul’s caliber. He also finished runner-up at Worlds in Emporia just six years ago.

Rather, the biggest narrative I’m following this week with Paul is the revenge narrative. He knows as well as the rest of the world that he was one miraculous “Holy Shot” away from taking home his sixth world title last year. The James Conrad throw in has overall been framed as a positive for the world of disc golf—it brought eyes and attention to disc golf and has been a resource to “grow the sport” as we say. But all of this growth and positivity has been at Paul’s expense, and not a day goes by that he isn’t reminded of it.

The comment he made off the cuff about losing worlds to an only backhand player when he was asked at the European Open about Eagle McMahon only throwing backhand shots due to injury shows me just how present last year’s Worlds are in McBeth’s psyche.

Will he be able to reign that emotion and energy in and perform when it’s go time? Looking at how Worlds has gone for the past decade, I think the odds are in his favor.

H7

The H7 is a fast, very understable driver from Prodigy. The H7 will be a useful tool for a wide variety of players, but is not likely to be one of there top pros signature discs. It’s understability will help beginners and lower arm-speed players throw long turnover shots. Players with more power will achieve hyzerflip turnovers and long rollers.

Stryder

This next disc in Prodigy’s Collab series – the Stryder. The Prodigy Airborn Stryder is a controllable midrange developed for Cale Leiviska. Cale is a master of throwing the midrange, and now he has one to call his own. The Stryder can handle power and still maintain its point-and-shoot purpose. The Stryder goes straight with a touch of stability at the end.

Clash Discs – The Cookie

The Cookie is a straight to stable fairway driver by Clash Discs. It offers a reliable flight path and can be easily manipulated to hold different angles. Clash Discs designed the disc to have just enough torque resistance so it is also a great choice for forehand players.

Finish Line Era

The Finish Line Era is the first mold from this USA-based company. Owned by Drew Gibson and sold by Infinite Discs, this company is dedicated to making quality discs. The second run of the Era was released last week, and there are still a few available, so get yourself one HERE

The Era is designed to be the all-purpose control driver for players of all skill levels.

With a flat top and neutral flight path, the Era works well for both backhand and forehand throws. It is understable enough to work for newer players but has enough stability that it can handle the power of Drew Gibson.

Clash Discs Soda & Butter

Two new Clash discs were released last week… the Soda and the Butter. Clash Discs has surprised many with its premium plastics and excellent discs. Learn about these two new molds below, and try a SODA or BUTTER today.

The Soda is an understable fairway driver designed for distance and shot shaping, making this a great mold for players of all skill levels. Its flight allows for a large variety of throws such as hyzer-flips and anhyzer lines.

The Butter is a straight flying putter with a minimal fade. It features a beadless and round profile, giving you a comfortable grip. This makes for a great putter that will fly straight, hyzer, or anhyzer; shaping the shot to whatever you need it to be.

Alfa Discs Cosmic

The Cosmic is the second disc produced by the Norway based company, Alfa Discs. Alfa Discs only began in 2021, but is already making some great molds. Their first mold is a straight flying midrane, the APOLLO. They are following that up with this newest fairway mold, the COSMIC.

The Cosmic is a dependable fairway driver with high glide, providing a nice consistent flight capable of a variety of flights. It is capable of holding a variety of lines from hyzer to anhyzer, making it the highly capable mold for shot shaping, or to get controllable distance.

EV-7 Telos

This company focuses solely on making quality putters for the average or professional disc golfer. They had 3 molds before releasing this newest one, the TELOS. Each putter comes in a premium, grippy putter blend for maximum catch and accuracy.

The EV-7 Telos is a fantastic putter that fits right in between the Penrose and the Phi in terms of stability. This disc has the flat top like the Penrose, but the beadless bottom like the Phi. This is an excellent stability for an all purpose disc golf putter and will help you find the green and make more putts.

Discmania Signature C-Line P2

Making yet another appearance, the Discmania Sky God IV is on the market, featured on the Simon Lizotte Signature C-Line P2. The P2 is known for its tremendous putting accuracy, but don’t underestimate its ability to be a great approach or off the tee putter.

The P2 is a straight flying, but slightly overstable putter made by Discmania. This disc is stable enough that it can handle headwind throws and fairly long approach shots. This putter was designed specifically for pro players, but can be useful for disc golfers of all skill levels. There are many people who rely on this putter to help them eliminate strokes from their game.

Prodigy A5

The A5 is an approach disc in the famous 400 Prodigy plastic. This plastic is grippy and stiff while also being bendable to shape those perfect shots. You won’t be disappointed when purchasing one of these discs, get yourself an A5 today.

The A5 is a straight-to-understable approach disc for touchy approach shots that need a lot of precision under low power.

Thoughtspace Temple

TSA is always on brand when it comes to their stamp designs. But their discs are also on brand for being buttery and dependable. This newest mold, the Temple, comes in Nerve plastic which is a stiff, grippy plastic designed for accuracy. The TEMPLE is one of the first approach molds that TSA has released and is bound to get good reviews.

The Temple is an overstable approach designed to handle power and windy conditions. This disc works excellent as a driver and a utility disc. The Temple is a disc that you can trust to hold the line before a solid end-fade to the target.

Lone Star – 3 New Molds

Lone Star is the underdog when it comes to quality molds. Most all their discs have good reviews, and they are gaining in popularity. Last week, they released three new molds: The CHUPACABRA, the DOME, and the BULL SNAKE.

The Chupacabra is an overstable fairway driver that will work well in any condition. This features a hard fading hook at the end of the flight, providing an excellent utility mold that will always be trusted to come out of that anhyzer angle or to always fade.

The Dome, named after the iconic “Astrodome” is an understable fairway driver. This is a good driver for a beginner, helping them achieve greater distance than before. For more advanced players, it is a good choice for a go to understable fairway driver.

The Bull Snake is an overstable putt & approach mold. It exhibits a longer wing, more broad shoulder, and a microbead. This will prove itself a trustworthy mold despite weather conditions.

This Week Releases

Prodigy Falcor

The Prodigy Falcor will be available for purchase on Thursday, March 10, 2022. The Falcor seems to feel a bit wider than a Destroyer. This disc is quite stable, I find that it does push a little more than I would have anticipated. Even with this nice glide, this disc is still rather quite overstable. Probably a little too much for me though, I don’t have that strong of an arm though.

The Falcor is the first disc in the Cale Leiviska line of discs. This is an overstable distance driver that provides a large amount of glide. Higher speed arms will achieve max distance out of this disc.

Prodigy Reverb

The Prodigy Reverb, feels good in the hand. This disc is a wide rimmed distance driver. Even though it is a 13 speed driver, this is still fairly comfortable to my grip. It is surprising that this is comfortable to me. This thing is quite beefy for me, it flies very straight and then fades hard. I can easily see this thing withstanding a lot of windy conditions. It definitely makes for a great utility disc, for me that is, I don’t have the strongest of arms. Come tomorrow, you’ll be able to get this for yourself tomorrow.

The Reverb is the first disc of of the Kevin Jones line of discs. This is an overstable distance driver with a little more fade at the end. This handles power, deflects wind, and works as a utility driver. The Reverb will hold a line for the majority of the time before the fade kicks in.

Team Infinite Player Spotlight: Taylor Aubuchon

When I started my journey down the rabbit hole of learning about disc golf and buying discs about 2 years ago, Taylor Aubuchon was the first reviewer I came across. I appreciated Taylor’s succinct reviews that had no extra fluff in them: 60-second reviews, a couple throws from different release angles, flight trackers, and good descriptions of the feel and flight of a specific disc.

The more knowledge I gain, or think I gain, I still find myself looking forward to and immediately clicking on any new videos from Taylor. Taylor can pack just the right amount of information into a short and easily digestible video. Most of Taylor’s videos also end with a discount code to be used at infinitediscs.com.

I reached out for a brief interview to better introduce Taylor to other Infinite followers that may not be aware of his content, social media presence, and mission to grow the game.

What is your disc golf origin story?

In late middle school/early high school (2007/2008), my group of friends and I were introduced to the game through our church’s youth group. I also took my dad and brother out to play and we were all hooked instantly. We were really lucky to have a great course just a few minutes away and started to play relatively seriously early on. Our youth group started a weekly bag tag series, and I even started to run a small doubles charity tournament within that first year.

How long have you been working with Infinite Discs?

Fortunately for me, Infinite started to support me after just my first review video, which was in March 2019. I’ll never be able to thank Dylan enough for believing in the plan I had for a different take on review videos! It’s pretty crazy to see how far I’ve come and how much it’s grown since then.

When did you start posting disc golf videos?

I started posting in March 2019, right when the first run I-Blend Emperors came out. This was a disc I was really excited about and thought it needed some more light shed on it. It was a mediocre video, to say the least, but it got some great feedback and I’ve been trying to improve and refine my style ever since.

How did you develop your signature and succinct review style?

I think as most content creators develop their style it starts out being mostly self-serving. After taking an extended hiatus from the game, my brother introduced me to the Infinite brand. I was hard-pressed to find any reviews or really any content focused on their lineup. Most YouTube reviews I was watching seemed quite long for their purpose, and I couldn’t find any review content on Instagram at the time. I saw an opportunity to create a more concise format that would be able to be pushed to the more underutilized avenues of social media. The original plan was actually to only post them to Instagram. I only created a YouTube channel to be able to share the reviews in Infinite’s comment section.

What disc surprised you the most after reviewing it? (You weren’t expecting to like, flew differently than expected, etc)

Definitely the Aztec. I had never really thrown that kind of straight control driver that still had good distance potential. When the I-Blend test run came out I loved the feel and flight it had, but it beat in just a little too quickly to be super reliable. Thankfully, the color glow run came out shortly after and I’ve had at least two in my bag ever since. The Aztec gives me the control of the Exodus, while not sacrificing much of the extra distance I’d get from bumping up to an Emperor of Pharaoh. If they’re ever looking for a name to put on the color glow Aztec, I know a guy that’d be pretty interested.

What is your favorite Infinite disc?

The Tomb without a doubt. I power grip everything but putts, so the Tomb is a perfect throwing putter for me with its shallow rim. Right now I’m bagging a Splatter S-Blend for overstable, C-Blend for stable, and D-Blend for understable throwing putter slots.

What is your favorite non-infinite disc?

I’ve had a full infinite bag for a bit over a year now, but the hardest disc for me to take out was the Westside Discs Pine. I enjoy a taller, more overstable feeling Midrange that beat into straight fliers. Taking the time to beat a disc into that perfect spot gives you a level of confidence and trust in it that can’t easily be replaced.

I always look forward to watching Drew Gibson shred out there. Best backhand form on tour!

Do you compete in tournaments? Discuss some local events, results, experiences, etc.

Unfortunately, it’s been a couple of years since I’ve played a local event, but I’m hoping to get back out there soon!

What are some of your disc golf goals?

Since really diving into content creation, most of my goals center around growing my presence to be able to share these awesome discs with as many people as possible! It’d be awesome to hit 1000 YouTube subscribers someday, but I try not to focus too hard on any specific avenue as there are so many outlets to push to. As far as disc golf specific, I’m always tweaking something in my game. Right now the goal is to develop a more consistent forehand, there’s a reason you’ve never seen me throw a forehand in any video…

What are some of your hobbies outside of and other than disc golf?

Before disc golf, my biggest passions were music and video games. I played in local bands throughout high school and dove pretty deep into music production afterward. I’ve also streamed via Twitch off and on since around 2015. Although music has taken a bit of a back seat recently, I still stream regularly at twitch.tv/ursapls and would love to talk disc golf, gaming, or music with anyone that wants to stop by!
