Here at Infinite we take pride in having the biggest selection of disc golf discs on planet earth. Every year, many of those brands add to their disc library by getting new discs approved. Here is a list of brands that we carry, and the discs each brand got approved in the past year.

Alfa Discs

Alfa Discs is a Norwegian manufacturer that started out as a retail disc golf store. They have slowly been growing their line.

Axiom Discs

Axiom Discs is the more colorful disc golf brand manufactured by MVP Disc Sports out of Marlette, Michigan. All Axiom discs utilize MVP’s gyro technology and are designed to fly well and look great. The popular Axiom Envy is one of the most well known discs in all of disc golf.

Bernoulli Disc Golf combines innovation with sustainability producing outstanding discs while caring for the planet. As a pioneering disc golf brand, they are dedicated to crafting high-quality discs exclusively from eco-friendly materials.

Birdie

Birdie Disc Golf Supply Co. is a supply, design, apparel, and production company proudly serving disc golfers across the United States as well as internationally.

Clash Discs

Clash Discs, a Finnish disc manufacturer, aims “to make reliable discs with a stimulus for all senses.” They also strive “to create discs that are easy to learn and understand, fit well in the hand, and have a good feel.”

Disc Golf Association (DGA)

DGA offers a full product line of quality disc golf discs including stock edition and tour series discs. They use Discraft for manufacturing of most of their molds and feature great plastic blends and a variety of discs for all purposes.

Discmania

Discmania offers some of the best disc golf discs on the market. They work closely with Latitude 64 and Yikun to produce and manufacture ultra premium disc golf discs with their own unique designs. Discmania Originals are produced by Discmania in their own facility in Sweden. The Discmania Evolution Line is produced by Latitude 64 in Sweden. The Discmania Active Line is produced by Yikun Discs in China.

Discraft

Discraft is the second-largest manufacturer of golf discs within the United States, boasting an extensive product catalog encompassing the full spectrum of disc varieties. With a commitment to excellence, Discraft sponsors numerous elite professional disc golfers and tournaments through tour series discs. They offer a diverse selection of discs tailored for professional players, novices, and individuals at every skill level in between.

Doomsday Discs

Doomsday Discs is an apocalyptic disc brand for the end of the world. They release quality discs which are manufactured from many different sources around the world in order to prepare for any unexpected market scenarios that might arise. Watch for discs to be released in their Catastrophic Line, Prepper Line, Munitions Line, and Conspiracy Line.

Dynamic Discs

Dynamic Discs is one of the leading brands in disc golf. Owned by House of Discs, DD is located in Emporia, Kansas. They partner with Latitude 64 in Sweden to distribute some of the best discs in all of disc golf. Dynamic Discs manages the US distribution for Latitude 64, Westside, and now Kastaplast Discs and have an extensive touring team and unique tour series discs.

Elevation Disc Golf

Elevation Disc Golf is one of the only disc golf manufacturers to primarily use rubber as a medium for their discs. They create unique and beautiful discs for all to throw and enjoy. Elevation Disc Golf was founded with one goal: to help every disc golfer be their best.

Capybara

Essential Discs

Essential Discs, originally a disc golf course designer, has expanded its expertise into developing its own line of disc golf discs. Leveraging their deep understanding of disc flight and terrain interaction, they’ve crafted a collection designed for both seasoned players and beginners.

Infinite Discs

Lone Star Disc

Lone Star Disc is a disc golf manufacturer located in Conroe, Texas, just north of Houston. Lone Star molding began as a manufactuer of quality plastic products for the Texas oil fields. Westside Golf Discs

Westside provides a full lineup of premium disc golf discs, including some very high quality fast flying drivers. The King, World, Destiny, and Catapult all have speed ratings of 14. Westside Discs originated in Finland with their discs manufactured by Latitude 64 in Sweden. The brand was purchased by Latitude 64 and Dynamic Discs in 2017, and is now owned by House of Discs.

XCOM Discs

X-Com is a manufacturer of beginner-friendly discs. New players will find a nice variety of driver, mid-range, and putter discs at affordable prices that are designed for easy flight without massive arm-speed.

Yikun Discs

Yikun is a disc manufacturer based in China that manufactures for popular disc golf brands like Discmania and Wild Discs. They also have their own line of golf discs that are among the most affordable on the market. They have a focus on disc sports and have been among the leading manufacturers of Ultimate Discs in Asia for over a decade.

Throughout this series, we’ve been breaking down the top disc golf discs for 2026. We started with putters, moved into midranges, and then stepped up to the faster discs with fairway and distance drivers. Now, it’s time for the big finale: bringing all the winners together to see which mold truly stands above the rest.

Best Discs For 2024

The Axiom Pixel was the hot seller for 2024. The Pixel was released in 2023 and the first full year of sales was 2024. It is a straight-flying putter that is shapable off the tee and solid option as a putter. The Pixel is the second disc in the Simon Line, giving the putter a lot of exposure. A putt/approach disc took the top spot for the second time, following the MVP Glitch in 2023.

Let’s check out the top sellers for 2025:

The top two molds have been around, and popular, for decades. The Innova Wraith and the Discraft Buzzz have been best sellers since the early 2000’s. In third place is the slightly newer Infinite Discs Emperor. The Emperor is known for being a bomber of a driver, with many open-bag Infinite pros choosing it as their high-speed driver of choice.

The MVP Trail and the legendary driver, the Innova Destroyer were fourth and fifth in popularity. Completing the top ten are the Discraft Zone, Axiom Pixel, Innova Mamba, Gateway Wizard, and the Discraft Luna.

The Pixel went from first place in 2024 to 7th for 2025. 2023’s winner, the MVP Glitch, finished 44th place

Best Selling Disc Golf Discs

Brands in the Top 50

Innova was the easy winner of the number of molds in the top 50. They have 14 molds, and are six ahead of both Discraft and Infinite. Innova was started in 1983 by Dave Dunipace. Dave received a patent for the first bevel-edge disc, the forerunner to today’s modern discs. Innova has released dozens of molds over the years, giving players lot of options to choose from.

There were 13 brands that had at least one mold in the top 50. Six companies only had one mold.

Most Popular Disc Types

Last year there were more distance drivers in the top 50 than any other type of disc. This year putt and approach discs take the lead. In the top 10, distance drivers are king. However, expand to the top 50 and putt/approach surpasses any other type.

Highest Rated Disc Golf Discs

Every year we like to look at the best sellers and the highest rated disc golf molds to see what it hot. We present this information in a series of blogs. This week we’re doing it again. We’ve covered the top putters and midrange discs. Now we’ll discuss the best fairway drivers for 2026.

Best Fairway Drivers

Fairway drivers fit the gap between midrange discs and distance drivers. With a more narrow rim than distance drivers, many people with small hand prefer them. They are often referred to as ‘control drivers’ because they are easier to control the shape than distance drivers.

Control drivers typically range from speed 6 to speed 9. Like all discs, they come in a variety of stabilities. They can be used to fight through thick woods or thrown on an open fairway. Approach shots are also in the control driver wheelhouse. They will skip farther than mids or putters, so that needs to be taken into consideration.

Best Fairway Drivers 2024

Let’s check out the top fairway drivers for 2024 so we can see what changes took place.

Infinite Discs had a solid grasp on all three podium spots for the 2024 sales year. The Dynasty is a slightly overstable speed nine control driver. It can be used as a valuable tool by players of all skill levels. Beginners can use it as a headwind or downhill disc. Advanced players will love it as a shapable disc that is easy to throw. The Sphinx and Centurion are both discs that I bag, and frequently use. The Sphinx is understable and the the Centurion is stable.

The Infinite trio was followed by the Firebird, Crave, and Leopard on the list. Let’s see how the top discs discs did last year.

Best Fairway Drivers

My beloved Sphinx moved up a slot to take the number one spot! I recommend everyone give the Sphinx a try. If you are a more advanced player, look for more overstable plastics, like glow metal flake C-Blend or Halo S-Blend. Or a more flippy plastic if you’re looking for a roller or big turnover shot.

The Crave moved up several spots to take second place. It is a straight-flying mold that works great with a backhand or forehand throw. For MVP fans, the Crave is compared to a seasoned Servo.

Completing the podium by moving up several spots is the Innova Teebird. Most of us would consider the Teebird an ‘old-school’ disc. It was approved in 1999, and has been popular since it was released. It is a speed 7 disc that has a bit of overstability to give it a reliable fade.

The next three discs on the list either weren’t on the list last year, or were further down the list. The Doomsday Discs Chemtrail was released in 2024. so it didn’t have enough sales to make the list. Then, it caught on and sales jumped.

The Latitude 64 River and Discraft Cicada were on last year’s list, but not as high up the list as this year.

Brands With the Most Molds in the Top 50

Although Innova only has one mold in the top 10, the have the most molds in the top 50. The Teebird is the lone top 10. It is followed by the Firebird, Valkyrie, Leopard, Roadrunner, Leopard3, Sidewinder, Thunderbird, Eagle, It, and the Teebird3 in 50th place.

Innova, Discraft, and Infinite account for 50% of the discs in the top 50.

Highest Rated Disc Golf Fairway Drivers

One of the biggest perks of shopping on the Infinite Discs website is the ability to browse real player reviews and see how each disc is rated before you buy. As more players share their experiences, those ratings become an incredibly useful snapshot of how the disc golf community feels about specific molds. With that in mind, we decided to dig into several disc categories to highlight the molds that rise to the top. With our ratings system, we weight molds that have more reviews heavier than those with fewer reviews. Let’s kick things off with the highest‑rated disc golf fairway drivers of all time.

Highest Rated Fairway Drivers

The Firebird and Teebird tied for first place with 4.74 stars out of 5. The Firebird is a reliable overstable driver that can still be thrown by newer players, because of its lower speed. It is excellent for headwind shots and spike hyzers.

The third highest rated control driver is the Thunderbird. It is like a faster Teebird. Less overstable than the Firebird, you can get more distance with the Thunderbird.

You could bag all three of these molds and cover a big variety of shots.

Highest Rated Very Overstable Fairway Drivers

The Innova Firebird takes first, of course, with the Dynamic Discs Felon coming in second place. The popular Felon was created to battle the Kansas winds, and it does a great job. If you’re looking for a disc that will not turn and give you a beefy fade, check out the Felon in Lucid plastic.

The Goliath Discs Chainbreaker is the third highest rated very overstable fairway driver. It lives up to its name, and will not back down from the fiercest wind on its way to the chains.

Highest Rated Overstable Fairway Drivers

Obviously, the Champion Teebird and Champion Thunderbird will podium with this category, since they were the highest rated overall. Taking third place is the Discraft Undertaker. The Undertaker has a little more turn than the top two discs, but still has the reliable fade. The Undertaker will be celebrating its tenth birthday this year, having been released in 2016.

Highest Rated Understable Fairway Drivers

People are not only buying a lot of Sphinx’s, they are liking them a lot! The flippy I-Blend Sphinx is the highest rated understable fairway driver with 4.87 out of 5 stars. I have several Sphinx in I-Blend (and other plastic types for different situations.)

Taking second place is the Thought Space Athletics Mantra. This popular mold has a good amount of turn and very little fade. It flies straight for newer players, and a great shapable tool for more experienced players.

Rounding out the top three is the Axiom Insanity. It was Axiom’s first distance/control driver. Like the Mantra, the Insanity works fine for an intermediate player, giving them a straight flight. Advanced players will unlock its understability, and can use the Insanity for turnover shots.

Innova GStar vs Star

You don’t have to play disc golf very long before you realize that there are many different plastic types. Each brand has its own formulas for making plastic. The largest brand is Innova, and two of Innova’s popular plastics are Star and GStar. In this blog we will discuss those two plastics. We’ll tell you their uses, differences, and similarities. Let’s dive into Star and GStar.

Star Plastic

Star plastic combines the durability of Champion plastic with the softer feel of Pro plastic. Star is actually slightly less durable than Champion. It will wear a bit faster, meaning it will get ‘seasoned’ a bit faster. Like GStar, Star plastic is opaque, unlike the translucent Champion plastic.

GStar Plastic

GStar has a slightly different formula, which makes it softer and more flexible. Its flexibility makes it a great plastic for winter play. Its flexibility makes it less likely to crack when you hit a hard object. In addition to flexibility, GStar has a pearlescent sheen, making it look really good.

Uses:

Although any plastic can be thrown in cold weather, GStar shines in winter because of its flexibility.

Similarities:

GStar and Star are both opaque, grippy, and soft.
They are both considered ‘premium’ plastics due to their durability.
Both accept dyes well, for those who like to dye their discs.

Differences:

GStar has a pearlescent sheen, while Star comes in flat colors.
GStar is slightly softer, while Star is slightly more durable.
GStar is more flexible, in winter or summer.
GStar is less expensive than Star.
Innova has far more molds available in Star.
Star is slightly more overstable than GStar

Conclusion

Although I’ve been a fan of Star plastic from the beginning, I also like the look and feel of GStar. For my personal preference, Star has a slight advantage because it is not too firm, but not too soft. Plus, all the Innova molds I throw come in GStar.

Best Distance Drivers 2025

When you want to get the most distance from your drives, you’re usually reaching for your high-speed drivers. Also called distance driver, this type of disc has the widest rim of all types, and the usually require the most skill to maximize the achievable distance. They are the super-athlete of the disc golf world, since they hold distance records, and are used by pros and amateurs alike. Much like our Best Putters, Best Midranges, and Best Fairway Drivers we will look at the sales data to find the best disc golf distance drivers for 2025, and give you some ideas of discs you might want to try.

Taking the top spot for sales is the Innova Wraith. The Wraith is a speed 11 disc that has a flight similar to some of the other top discs on the list. Taking second is the Infinite Discs Emperor, followed by the most popular driver of all time, the Innova Destroyer.

Top Wraith Plastics

Checking out the top plastic sales for the number one Wraith we find that the most popular Wraith plastic sold is Star plastic. Star plastic outsold second place Gummy Champion by three times! It was responsible for over a third of all Wraith sales last year. The third place most popular plastic is GStar.

Top 50 Best Disc Golf Distance Drivers 2025

The MVP Trail isn’t even two years old, but is very popular. The speed-10 mold from MVP has a stable flight that is useful for a wide range of skill levels. It dethroned the Innova Wraith, which dropped to fourth place. Taking second to the Trail is the ever-popular Infinite Discs Emperor. Third on the list is the Innova Destroyer.

The top four molds on the list make up a quarter of all distance driver sales. Innova and Infinite are regular names at the top of the list. It was nice to see MVP break into the elite ranks.

Most Brands In The Top 50

There are ten different brands who have a disc in the top 50 best discs. That is down a couple from last year. Let’s take a look at which brands are represented, and how many molds they have on the list.

The top few brands are not a surprise. Innova and Discraft are some of the oldest disc golf brands, and sponsor some top pros. Their size gives them a lot more marketing opportunities. That helps them manage to stay on top despite all of the newer brands that have hit the market the last decade.

Top Rated Drivers

We’ve looked at the sales data for the top distance drivers, and now we’ll look at the top RATED discs. The infinite discs website allows customers to leave feedback and ratings on discs and accessories, and is a good resource for finding highly rated disc products. Let’s look at some of the distance drivers with the highest ratings. For our ‘Highest Rated’ sections, our system sorts by mold and plastic type.

Highest Rated Distance Drivers

Taking the number one spot with the highest consumer rating for distance drivers is Infinite Discs’ popular high-speed driver, the Emperor. The speed 12 driver has a popular flight that features a little turn with a reliable solid fade. It is available in numerous plastic types. It is also the signature disc of some of the top pros. The I-Blend Emperor has a 4.93 rating out of 5. Nearly perfect!

In second place with a rating of 4.86 is the Star Innova Wraith. Taking third is the Discmania Neo Enigma. The Enigma has a customer rating of 4.73.

Highest Rated Overstable Distance Drivers

Since the Emperor is considered an overstable driver and is the highest rated driver, it is obviously going to be the highest rated overstable driver. In this category, the Emperor took first, second, and tied for third, with three different plastics represented. In second place with 4.91 stars out of five is the Signature Swirly S-Blend. In third place at 4.90 stars is the Signature I-Blend. Also at 4.90 is the Halo Star Destroyer.

Highest Rated Understable Disc Golf Driver

Looking at the other end of the stability spectrum we have the highest rated understable drivers. The Innova Tern took the top two spots. The Star Tern is the highest rated at 4.78. Just a little behind the Star is the Champion Tern, with 4.69 stars. Infinite Discs’ I-Blend Maya came in third with its 4.68 rating.

The next two molds on the understable list, the Axiom Insanity and the Lone Star Disc Mockingbird, are tied at an impressive rating of 4.79.

Highest Rated Stable & Straight Flying Drivers

Checking out distance drivers with a more neutral flight, meaning little turn and a less aggressive fade, we find the stable Infinite Discs Splatter S-Blend Pharaoh leading the pack for the title of Best Stable Distance Driver with a rating of 4.91. The Pharaoh is a high-speed driver that comes in a variety of plastics.

In second place with a rating of 4.89 is the Streamline Neutron SL Trace. In the last podium spot, we find the MVP Neutron Tesla, rated at 4.4 out of five stars.

Best Fairway Drivers 2025

Much like our Best Putters of 2025 and Best Midrange Discs of 2025 blog posts, this week we will look at the Best Fairway Drivers of 2025. We’ll look at the top selling molds, the most popular brands, and the highest rated discs. Let’s start with the top molds for 2024, so we can look for changes:

Infinite Discs took two of the top three spots on the 2024 list, and four molds in the top 10. Taking first place is the popular Sphinx. The Sphinx accounted for 5% of all fairway drivers sold in 2024. It is a mold that I throw frequently.

Top 50 For 2025

Okay, now lets check out the top 50 control drivers for the first half of 2025:

The flippy fairway driver, the Sphinx held on to the top spot for 2025. Latitude 64’s River is off to a great start for 2025, reaching the podium. Two newer molds broke the top 10: Doomsday Discs’ Chemtrail and the Discraft Cigarra were both released within the past year, and still found a spot in the top 10. They join a long-time favorite, the Innova Firebird as top sellers.

Speaking of Innova, it looks like they had more molds in the top 50 than any other brand. The top 5 most popular brands remained the same and in the same order.

Smaller brands such as Dino Discs and Mint Discs joined Westside with one mold in the top 50.

Highest Rated Fairway Drivers

Shifting from the best disc golf fairway drivers based on sales, we look at the highest rated fairway molds. Infinite Discs allows customers to rate individual discs and products to help other disc golfers see how other people feel about discs and accessories. A quick check of the highest rated fairway drivers and we see that the Infinite Discs I-Blend Sphinx is the highest rated with 4.85 out of five stars. Tied for second place, just a tick behind the Sphinx with 4.84 is the Star TeeBird. They TeeBird is followed by a tie between the Lucid Felon and the Star Firebird. It’s easy to see why these molds sell so many discs. Based on the reviews, people really love them!

Highest Rated Overstable Fairway Drive

The highest-rated overstable fairway driver is a beefy disc from MVP, the Terra. The Terra is a disc that its reviewers absolutely love! It is an overstable mold that is in the James Conrad line of discs. It may not work as well for beginners. But, if you have a good arm you might want to consider this fairly beefy thrower from MVP.

Legacy had two Rivals in the top three, in second place is the Icon plastic, and in third, Pinnacle plastic.

Highest Rated Stable Fairway Driver

Fairway drivers that have minimal high-speed turn and fade are considered ‘stable’. These discs are shapable to suit the needs of a particular situation. The mold with the highest rating in this category is the Infinite Discs Centurion. The speed 7 Centurion has a little bit of turn at high speed, and a relatively mild fade at the end of its flight. It has an Infinite rating of 4.86, making it one of the higher rated discs of any category. In second place for fairway drivers is the Discmania Essence, rated at 4.79. A couple tenths behind the Essence is the Innova TL3. The TL3 is a faster version of the TL, which is a less overstable version of the TeeBird. It has an rating of 4.59

Highest Rated Understable Fairway Driver

Sometimes you need a bit more turn on your throws in order to either shape the shot you want, or keep turning over until you get a roller. In other words, you need something understable. Here is a list of some of the highest-rated molds that have a bit more understability in their flight.

Sitting at the top of the list as the highest rated and top selling understable fairway driver is Infinite Discs’ Sphinx. It is a flippy speed 9 disc that can definitely give you some turn in your flight. The Sphinx is rated at 4.87 out of five stars. Second place is another speed 9 mold,the Innova Valkyrie. The Valk has a rating of 4.48. In third place a little behind the Valk is the Innova Leopard. The Leopard is rated 4.46.

Straightest Flying Disc Golf Discs

As you stare down the narrow tree-lined fairway, you consider which disc you should be throwing. You need to go a long way down the fairway, without going too far left or right. Too understable and you kick to the right. Too overstable and you’ll fade too early into the trees. What disc do you choose?

Since course designers try to make us throw a variety of shapes, we need a variety of discs. Discs that can turn or fade the way we want help us navigate the obstacles on the course. However, some holes require a straight shot.

In this blog we’ll talk about straightest flying disc golf discs. We’ll discuss when to use them and which ones you can check out if you’re in the market for a straight-flying disc.

What Does ‘Straight-Flying’ Really Mean?

The simple definition of a straight-flying disc is that it doesn’t turn much to the right (RHBH throw) during the fastest part of the flight, and doesn’t fade hard to the left as is slows down. It is the flight you would want to get when faced with a scenario mentioned in the first paragraph.

There is one method of throwing that achieves that desired flight, but includes a decent amount of turn. You might have heard the term ‘flip to flat’. That is where you throw a slightly understable disc, but throw it on a hyzer angle. That way instead of turning to the right, the disc rolls until it is flat, then it holds that straight, flat flight until it starts to slow down.

Why Straight Discs Matter

Straight-flying discs are essential on wooded courses. Although many wooded holes will still require some shot-shaping, there are always times when you just need to keep a straight flight.

In addition to the shots that you just need to go straight, having a straight disc will also help you shape your shots and hit your lines. A straight-flying disc will hold the angle you put it on longer than more overstable or understable molds.

Straight-Flying Putters

A straight-flying putter is one that you can drive or approach with, that is a slower speed and a neutral flight. It won’t have much turn, nor much fade, and it will sit where it lands without skipping.

Here are some examples of some of the most popular straight-flying molds.

Innova Aviar 2, 3, 0, 1

The Aviar is a classic mold from Innova. It has been a popular disc for decades.

Dynamic Discs Warden 2, 4, 0, .5

The beadless Warden is the second putter released by Dynamic Discs over a decade ago. It is one of their straightest discs.

Infinite Discs Tomb 3, 4, 0, 1

The flat-topped Tomb flies straight and is the perfect approach disc for precision shots.

Discmania P2 2, 3, 0, 1

The P2 is an amazing, straight flyer that works for pros and amateurs alike.

Latitude 64 Pure 3, 3, -1, 1

The Pure has a little more turn and fade than other molds on the list. If you can control those, you’ll love how far and straight you can throw a Pure.

Best Straight-Flying Midranges

A midrange with a neutral flight is one of the best discs for shaping shots. If you need a straight flight down a narrow fairway, reach for a straight mid. Need to hold a hyzer/anhyzer? Grab one of the discs below and you’re set.

Discraft Buzzz 5, 4, -1, 1

One of the most popular mid’s in the world, the Buzzz can be thrown hard and will still fly straight. It is available in nearly all Discraft plastic types.

Innova Mako3 5, 5, 0, 0

Several years after Innova released the Mako, they made a slightly different version called the Mako3. It is an amazing mold that can be thrown straight or shaped to meet the demands of the fairway.

Infinite Discs Anubis 5, 5, 0, 0

Infinite Disc’ Anubis will fly long and straight, and gently settle down without fear of big skips or gnarly ground play.

Discmania MD1 5, 6, 0, 0

The MD1 is a new version of the MD that is slightly faster, flatter topped, and can take a little more power. The MD1 will hold as straight as an arrow for as far as you can throw it.

Latitude 64 Fuse 5, 6, -1, 0

Slightly larger than the average disc, the Fuse will hold a line well and have minimal fade.

Best Straight-Flying Fairway Drivers

For longer shots that still need to go straight, a fairway driver would be your best bet. They can be throw flat or at a slight hyzer to achieve a hyzer-flip. With a minimal fade at the end, these molds won’t get a big skip like faster discs.

Discmania FD 7, 6, 0, 1

You’ll find the Discmania FD in the bags of disc golfers of all skill levels. It is one of the best straight-flying fairway drivers.

Innova TL 7, 5, -1, 1

The TeeBird-L (TL) is an easy to control fairway driver that can deliver long straight flights.

Latitude 64 River 7, 7, -1, 1

The River is consistently rated one of the best fairway drivers. Check out the River’s consistent accuracy and high glide!

Axiom Crave 6.5, 5, -1, 1

The first driver in Axiom’s line of discs, the Crave has a lower speed than other discs, but still bombs on straight, long shots.

Dynamic Discs Breakout 8, 5, -1, 1

Described as a slightly understable Escape, the Breakout will fly straight, without sacrificing distance.

Tips for Throwing a Disc Straight

Keep the disc flat, or at a slight hyzer angle for flippier molds, when you release the disc. You may need to slow down your throw so you don’t overpower the disc and turn it over. Get a couple straight molds to practice throwing straight shots, and shaped shots.

Final Thoughts

Most courses have holes that make a long, straight throw necessary. By having a few molds in your bag that fly straight, you’ll be able to attack those holes with confidence. Check out some of the molds listed and spend time practicing with them. You’ll improve your chances of hitting narrow fairways. You’ll also be able to shape your shots for those tricky fairways. Those skills will help shave strokes off your score!

Although we see a new leader in sales for last year, the Axiom Pixel, it overcame the same challenges of taking the top spot as the Glitch: it did so in its first full year of sales! The MVP/Axiom folks are putting out some great molds that are backed by popular pros.

Here are highlights of the top discs for the year:

1 Axiom Pixel – The Pixel is a straight, fairly glidey putter that, although it feels right at home as an approach disc or throwing putter on shorter holes, can also be found in the hands of disc golfers hoping to sink a long putt.

2 Innova Wraith – A perennial top contender for sales, the Wraith has the popular flight characteristics as the Destroyer, but a little slower speed. Every brand eventually makes a mold with the same flight numbers.

3 Infinite Discs Emperor – Coming up on its sixth birthday, the Emperor has been a hit from the beginning. It is made out of nearly every Infinite plastic, so give you a variety of options. And yes, it has a flight similar to the aforementioned Destroyer.

4 Infinite Discs Alpaca – Another mold that has been a hit from the beginning is the Infinite Alpaca. The beadless putter feels wonderful in your hand and performs even better. Try throwing the Alpaca today and see what the hype is all about.

5 Innova Destroyer – Ahhh, the Innova Destroyer. It has been around longer that most people have been playing disc golf. And it has been a favorite ever since its release. The Destroyer can be found in nearly every plastic, and a variety of weights, to meet the needs of most disc golfers. It has flight numbers that mimic a nice S-curve. Those numbers contribute to a nice S-curve for its flight.

Best Selling Disc Golf Discs

Brands in the Top 50

It is always interesting to see how many different brands are represented in the list of the top discs. Some brands you pretty much expect to see on the list. Others are somewhat of a surprise. With the changing disc golf manufacturer landscape, a couple brands still dominate, but smaller brands are starting to carve out their share of the market. Here are the top Brands on the list:

No one will be surprised to see that Innova leads the pack, with a whopping 18 molds in the top 50. Just as unsurprising, Infinite takes second place. Discraft, with its star-studded lineup of touring pros, comes in fourth with four molds in the top 50.

Most Popular Disc Types

If you sort the top 50 discs according to their disc type, three of the four types listed all have close to the same representation in the top 50. The exception is the midrange disc, with only 5 molds in the top 50.

The highest-rated midrange disc in the top 50 is the Discraft Buzzz, which is the sixth most popular mold, and will likely continue to land near the top of the list. It is a staple in many player’s bags, and has been a hot-seller for a long time.
